Despite its medium focal length, the optical properties allow it to maintain its wide 82° apparent field of view, and a comfortable 12mm eye relief that provides space between the lens and eye to prevent accidental contact that can interfere with views. Built to Tele Vue's exacting standards, the Type-6 features anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to improve brightness, color rendition, and contrast; and a fold-down rubber eyecup that helps to block stray peripheral light from interfering with the views and to further enhance contrast.
