The Daiwa-11 fluid head, features an infinitely adjustable counterbalance system, procuring perfect balance for camera's ranging between 13 to 29 lbs. Variable viscosity drag pan and tilt system, providing infinite and repeatable adjustments and can be adjusted down to "zero" setting.

The 309 aluminum tripod, utilizes a duel-stage leg design to give the capability of getting down low to the ground. The 309 comes with a on-ground spreader and composite molded fittings, that would virtually not allow radial motion or instability.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this head pan horizontally without any vertical movement?

A: No, the ball head cannot be locked vertically in order for it to pan horizontally.

Q: 2. Can the pan and tilt head from the Slik U9000 also be used on this tripod?

A: No, the head from the U9000 is not removable.

Q: 3. I have a nikon d3400 with a few different types of lenses. I wanted to take this camera and pick up this tripod for an overseas vacation. Is this tripod a good purchase or should i go with a different one?

A: My experience over about 6 months of use in 2016 is great. I use it with my Sony Alpha 7II with both 50mm and 24 to 240mm OSS zoom lenses. Very sturdy, retractable handles make for compact transport and storage. Very high quality build also means a bit heavier than lesser tripods. I'd buy it again. Worth ever penny.

Q: 4. Is the included head the SH-747 or the SH-747FC (friction control)?

A: The Slik Pro AL-323-3W Aluminum 3-Section Tripod with Arca-Type 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head comes with the SH-747 head, not the friction control version.

Q: 5. What would be the best head to use on this tripod for purposes of taking overhead food shots with my Canon 5D Mark III? Thanks in advance. :-)

A: I currently use a Slik pistol grip with good ergonomics and safety.

Q: 6. which sturdy ,aluminum manfrotto tripod and a good quality head, would you use on a pentax 80ed spotting scope that will be used on full magnification thank you

A: For a sturdy, aluminum Manfrotto tripod with a head included, check out the 190XPROB tripod with MVH500AH fluid head: http://bhpho.to/1g9VOUs

Q: 7. Does the maximum height include having the center column raised all the way?

A: Yes, the maximum height of the fully extended legs is 50 with the center column at full-extension adding another 14 to get to the maximum 64 height. This is best as a travel or backpackers tripod for a mirrorless camera or DSLR with a compact zoom. I would classify it as light duty and perfect for micro 4/3 cameras like mine.

Q: 8. Are the rubber feet on this tripod replaceable with other feet? For example - Spikes?

A: No, the Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 does not take spiked feet.

Q: 9. Could you attach a Edelkrone slider to this while shooting a 90degree shot? Or a slider of similar proportions/weight?

A: With the right ball head, you can attach any mid-size slider to this tripod and shoot vertically. The tripod can handle over 15 pounds of weight. However, it's always recommended to add some weight to the tripod so that it doesn't tip over, and unfortunately this tripod does not have a hook under the middle column to connect a sandbag or camera bag. But if you can be creative and figure out a way to add more weight to the tripod, that would be the best way to go about it.

Q: 10. What are the biggest differences between this model and the older 190xpro model? Does the new features compensate the extra dollars for the newer version?

A: The new model has improved leg locks, lateral collar and leg angling hardware as well as improved sleeving in the leg sections.
