Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this lens suffer from focus breathing? If so, is it noticeable for video?

A: all the photo lenses have lens breathing , and they are noticeable on video

Q: 2. The ribs on the barrel are tiny. Can this be used with a Follow focus for Filmmaking?

A: To use the Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S Lens with a follow focus system you will need to attach a gear to the lens barrel. Or use a gearless follow focus.

Q: 3. Will this work with a Sony Handycam HDR-PJ430V? I have the Lanc to sony multiport adapter cable, will this allow me to control focus?

A: Brey good

Q: 4. will this 85mm Z lens fit in a Lenscoat small pouch with the lens shade attached in the stored position?

A: Yes, you can fit Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S Lens with the lens hood attached on reverse or front foward position inside the LensCoat LensPouch (Small). The pouch i made of a neoprene stretchable material.

Q: 5. Would I be able to fit ALL of my Nikon D3200 camera body, 18-55mm lens, 55-200mm lens, 70-300mm lens and a 35mm lens and still have room for other little things like the charger, phone, wallet, basic necessities?

A: The Gear S17 has been an excellent bag for me so far. I purchased it for a three-week trip to Europe (went last month to several destinations along the Danube, then on to Venice) and it's holding up extremely well. I carried a Nikon 7000 with 18--105 mm and 11--16 mm lenses, plus phone, charger, an extra battery and several extra memory cards. The upper compartment easily held my LLBean hooded raincoat and a light-weight sweatshirt.I did not carry external flash equipment on the trip, but if I did, I would have used the upper compartment for it instead of for the foul-weather gear.Having said all that, you could probably fit all the gear you mentioned in the bag by making use of the upper compartment with some added padding. But I think you're carrying too much glass. I'd leave your 35mm and 55-200mm lenses behind, as they seem unnecessary/redundant for travel (try to keep the weight down).

Q: 6. does this work for Canon 40D?

A: It does not. This is not compatible with the Canon 40D.

Q: 7. I have a camera/lens that is 11 inches long from film plane to tip of lens. Will it fit in lower camera compartment?

A: Unfortunately, the lower compartment would not be wide enough.

Q: 8. Has anyone put this under their seat during a flight--did it fit alright?

A: I have and yes it did. Its a great versatile bag. I did a youtube review of it if you want to check it out.

Q: 9. will it work with Sony CX130 ?

A: It will not. This a LANC controller, the CX130 does not have a LANC connection for control.

Q: 10. I'm new to photography and I just purchased my very first camera from B&H. I purchased a Nikon Z50, I'm not one to assume & I think it is compatible without the adapter. Am I right in thinking all Z lenses are compatible with my Z50?

A: The Z50 is compatible with all Nikon Z mount lenses. Being that this Z 85mm lens is optimized for a full frame camera, the lens would be more like 136mm due to the 1.5X crop factor.
