A: This Wimberly tripod is awesome! It is very smooth in any direction and can be set to stop dead and hold at any angle. Adjustments are quick and easy. The craftsmanship on the head is the best I have seen. I have owed mine for several months and used it from Alaska to the Carrabean and do not think there could be a better one out there. Erick

I have a quick release plate that is a bit longer than the base of the tripod collar on my Pentax 560 lens.
