The 5,700K ReNEW Daylight LED Retrofit Assembly with Bare Ends Power Cord from PRG is an LED light engine designed to work in conjunction with the lens tube and shutter assemblies of the ETC Source ellipsoidal.

Exchanging the tungsten light source of the Source Four with the daylight LED source of the ReNEW Assembly reduces energy consumption and HVAC costs while producing lumen output that exceeds a 575W HPL lamp. The ReNEW light engine draws 190W at full output and just 3.1W during standby.

The assembly is designed around a chip-on-board (COB) LED light source array paired with a specially designed reflector and lens that provides optimal illuminance distribution through the Source Four lens. The COB array is designed for easy future upgrading as improved LEDs become available.

The Source Four reflector and lamp assembly can be replaced in less than a minute with the ReNEW Assembly which is compatible with both ETC standard and Enhanced Definition Lens Tubes (EDLT) and all Source Four accessories. The fixture can be operated with 1, 2, or 3 channels of DMX control, or operated in user-selectable stand-alone mode for simple installations or where DMX is not available. A DMX signal can be connected and passed through the unit via optically isolated male and female flush-mount 5-Pin XLR connections.

The ReNEW Assembly offers 90-240 VAC 50/60 Hz operation via its Neutrik powerCON connection while up to four 4 units may be linked using the thru connector. An additional power connection is available for a 9 VDC battery to operate the control panel for quick setup or for shop preparation without need to connect primary full power to the unit.

Q: 1. Is the bare ends cable for the XT26 power supply 4-wire or 3-wire like the 60 amp bates version?

A: According to the manufacturer, the bare ends cable on the Aputure Electro Storm XT26 Bi-Color LED Monolight (Bare Ends Cable, Flight Case Kit) is a 3-wire cable.

Q: 2. How many lumens or lux at X feet? What is the beam angle?

A: The manufacture does not list for the Smith-Victor SlimPanel 400 Watt Daylight LED Light Lux or beam angle. They only list that it has 400W Tungsten Flood Equivalent. And power consumption is up to 45w.

Q: 3. how many watts

A: 400w equivalent

Q: 4. How can i get/download Arri's SkuPanel S60-C Led LIght Filter Gel Pack?

A: Please find the guide for the gel numbers here... https://www.arri.com/resource/blob/65958/560471fec7f8f2e186ef8ca9e6cdd489/arri-skypanel-dmx-protocol-specification-v4-4-en-okt2018-data.pdf

Q: 5. What's the SSI rating, at tungsten 3200K and at Daylight 5600K?

A: I am sorry Arri does not publish the SSI of the s60C LED.

Q: 6. does this light come with a stand to mount the light?

A: No stand is included. A couple possible stands would be B&H # IMLS6B and BH #IMLS8AI

Q: 7. The product images are identical for the Bare Ends / Pole Operated and Edison / Yoke Mount . What is the exact mounting terminator for each of the two specifications? Are there any other differences than the terminator. As much detail as possible on this would be extremely helpful.

A: The Pole Operated version is for use in studios where adjustment of tilt and pan is done with a pole from the ground. This model comes with a bare ends cord which means there is no power connector at the end of the power cord and customer must supply their own. The Pole Operated yoke has a 28mm (Junior) pin.The standard mount is a regular yoke with a high strength tilt lock and a 28mm (Junior) pin. The Edison refers to the standard American type connector on the power cord.

Q: 8. How is this light typically powered? If it is not suitable for US household power, what are the requirements to power the light?

A: The Aputure Electro Storm XT26 Bi-Color LED Monolight (Bates Connector) is powered via Bates connector. It would require a 30A circuit to work in the United States and this would need to be tied into your home by an electrician to function properly. This is not recommended for consumer use or in US households. This is a pro level light that requires 30 amp circuit to run properly.

Q: 9. What kind of controller/dimmer is needed/available for these lights?

A: The SkyPanel S60 has a dial on the back to dim it and it is DMX.Most DMX controllers will work with this light. It is very new and there might be some that are better than others specifically. We are waiting for that information from Arri.

Q: 10. Which mount of this SkyPanel should I buy if I want to attach a center mount yoke? Is a center mount yoke the best way to have the SkyPanel stand vertical on the floor? What is the best mount to have the lamp stand vertical on the floor?

A: Go with the Center Mount. It will cover 95% of your needs.

Happy with this purchase probably more than any other light purchased for work. I know many like the idea of this light for rigging but I find so much use for this one on set. The 1x1 has been a great light but to me this replaces it. Not only because of its ability to be bi-color as well but hue feature as well as chimera make it more diverse than a 1x1. If using it be aware of the fan control feature. Fan can sound loud when you first turn it on but a simple adjustment can silence it.

This is a review of the Colbor CL100XM. I'm fairly new to the film production world, but I've been around a few blocks with technology and hardware. One thing that strikes me is the cost of equipment. But, AFAIK, the camera can't discern between lights used to light a space. And the CL100XM definitely lights the space! I used the CL100XM on a shoot a few days ago, and got it out today to refresh for writing a review. It comes in a very well-padded carrying case which makes for convenient packing and also for storing. It also includes a well-designed Bowens mount, which is super easy to put on and take off, snugly fits the body of the light and opens all kinds of options. This thing is B R I G H T! I turned it on in my office and at 1% the room was well lit; at 100% it was like high-noon! Levels and effects are easily configured with buttons and toggle dials on the back of the camera, or via the Colbor app. It's also super light weight, and comes with a standard baby mount for putting on a stand. In my experience, yes, the CL100XM generates a little heat, but really not that much, especially compared to other lights that generate the same illumination. The construction feels solid. I like the modular design, too, which provides a series of connecting channels on body of the unit that allow multiple devices to be joined together. It's compact, versatile and easy to use. It ships with a rubber lens cover for even more protection inside the padded case. For the price, I'm very satisfied. This is a valuable asset, and I'll be looking for other Colbor products to flesh out my light kit.

This is the ultimate light. A light that literally will do anything you could possibly want, need or ask of a professional light. The only concerns I had before I got my hands on this S30-C was will this be too heavy? and Is this going to be bright enough?. But I am very pleased that it isn't as heavy as I imagined. Putting the power supply on the back of the light does make it heavier but that is optional if you get the accessory that allows you to attach to a c-stand. Light output was very impressive and if I need more I will purchase the Intensifier Panel to get 50% more output. I recommend buying the barn doors since the light really goes everywhere.

These lights are powerful. Not just in brightness but in features. Being able to plug into an outlet without much concern for power, adjust to precisely any color (hue/sat) or color temp, load in animations for effects and style, our list keeps growing. We bought these as an alternative to Diva for a soft, quick to setup and adjust run and gun light and they have proven to be that and more. Since owning them they have little downtime from being on set. Sure they are a hefty investment but it all the other hassles they are saving us from it is turning out to be well worth it. We purchased 2 S30s just because we travel a lot and size was a factor. The only things worth mentioning are that They are pretty heavy and have to use an external ballast for power (unless running batteries) and the mounting bracket doesn't quickly come off which add a considerable amount to the overall size. We will probably need to remove the bracket once we need to pack them in a condensed situation but even still this is nothing to dwindle the 5 star rating.

I purchased the SkyPanel S30-C primarily because the S60-C seemed too large to travel with, as all our shoots are on location. I'm very happy with this purchase. The features are endless. I love the plethora of accessory options and already have the DOP Choice 40 degree Snapgrid, and intensifier panel, which I use some combination there of even with the standard (included) diffusion panel for each shoot. Primarily interviews indoors and outdoors thus far and have been very pleased with the results each time. If just using the light out of the box the wide angle soft source fills much of an entire room and spills light almost in a 180 degree angle, so the grid was an immediate no-brainer for me to acquire. I was able to save parts of the foam packaging from Arri and modified it (trimmed it) and now put the Skypanel inside a Pelican 1610 case. I ditched the included yoke mount and got the center yoke mount with makes traveling and placing in the Pelican case much easier because it comes on and off without tools, which is a space saver. The center yoke mount does require a 1-1/8 spigot on your stand. I hope to purchase more of these lights when budgets allow.

The expensive SkyPanel S30-C is the best investment in the lighting kit you could choose!
