Q: 6. Does this monpod have a wrist strap?

A: It does, and it is easily moved from side to side ( e.g. when an attachment for your camera dictates one side be used).

A: No this will come with just the battery grip.

Q: 8. I have a Mac Pro (Mid 2010) running Yosemite. There are no Thunderbolt ports... Is this comparable in some form?

A: As Frankie B said, this will only run Thunderbolt, so it will not work for your particular Mac, however there are other versions with other connections that should work for you, either ethernet or usb 3.
