A: The lens takes standard 77mm threaded filters. Since it is a wide angle lens (on APS-C it's the equivalent field of view of a 24mm lens on full frame) you do need to use filters that don't have thick frames in order to avoid vignetting. I normally use the lens with a Hoya Pro-1 UV filter on it. That filter has a frame that's 4mm thick, and I don't have any problems with vignetting. I have not tried it with a filter with a thicker frame.

Q: 10. Please confirm that this lens is chipped for auto exposure with Nikon cameras. The photos show that it has the electrical contacts on the lens mount, and the aperture ring has a Nikon type AI coupling ridge, but there isn't any mention of this in the lens description.

A: That lens does not have electronic connections. You can use the camera in Aperture priority or manual.
