A: Hello Michael. Generally, if you connect a battery to a device via USB-C, the battery and the device to which it is connected will negotiate the maximum voltage. The MixPre-3 II only uses 5-volts via USB-C. It will not negotiate to the higher available voltages.

Q: 4. The output is 3.5mm unbalanced stereo, can you recommend an in line preamp to XLR for sending the mix to camera?

A: You can use a 3.5mm TRS male to XLR male cable like the Kopul Stereo Right-Angle 1/8" Male Mini-Jack to XLR Male Cable - 3' (B&H # KORSMXM03) in any length to send the audio directly from the 3.5mm line output on the Sound Devices MixPre-3 II Multitrack Field Recorder to a camera's XLR input. Just be sure to set the input level on the camera for "line" in order to have compatible signal levels. A preamp should not be necessary.

Q: 5. On the specs for the Mixpre 3 II, it says there are 3 XLR-1/4 Combo inputs. That is incorrect according to the pictures. They are only XLR inputs and not a Combo Input. Can you confirm?
