A: 1) In Live View there is no focus confirmation. 2) (On a D800, after hitting the OK button) an exposure meter appears and will show exposure levels as they are adjusted. Not sure how similar D750 is.

A: the focal length is the focal length. people still use the 35mm full frame as a standard for comparison still so it has a 35mm crop factor of @ 125mm on an aps-c sensor. The lens has terrible aberration problems. I returned it and bought a Fuji 90mm which is an excellent lens.

A: With the chip your camera will control the shutter, and you'll see a flash of red on the screen when you are in focus. I think it was worth the extra $100. it's a great star lens.

This is a manual focus lens, but it has a focus chip in it, which means that as you manually turn the focus ring, you will see a left or right arrow in the view finder, indicating whether you need to focus in or out on the subject.
