The Heliopan 105mm #22 Orange Filter is a basic contrast filter, primarily for use with black and white film, that strongly darkens blues and greens, increases overall contrast, and is often used for outdoor photography to emphasize contrast and shadows. It is also well-suited for decreasing atmospheric haze when photographing with long lenses and to smooth skin tones for portraiture. There is an approximate 4x filter factor with this filter, requiring an increase of 2 stops for normal exposure.

The front and rear surfaces of the filter both feature a single anti-reflection coating. Each coating helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, they offer protection to the filter substrate while helping to keep the glass clean for longer than uncoated glass.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

A: Absolutely, I am using it on on full frame 6d and it captures amazing pictures even in low light and when I zoom my pictures to macro level while editing it's still clear.

A: I meant to add its f4 throughout the zoom range but fully adjustable to f22 depending on your settings.

Q: 7. How this lans compare to the 85 1.4 ? Thanks

A: Both are very good lenses, it is more a matter of personal preference. Sharp, bright, fast, what's not to like about either one? Other than the focal length difference, not much to differentiate the two. If you have the 85, don't get the 105. If you are getting a new lens in this class, get the 105. One could be happy with either one.

Q: 8. Is the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens, compatible with the Canon 5D Mark II?

A: Yes, as well as most other Canon EOS cameras.

Q: 9. I was wondering if this lens could be used for sports and other fast moving action shots like aircraft at a airshow or racecars at a race track seeing that this lens hasn't got VR on it. Or would I be better off using the 24-70mm f2.8E ED VR lens for taking these pictures seeing that it has VR image stabilisation. Thank You!

A: Has VR

Q: 10. Is there a way to put this in manual mode?

A: We are not quite sure what you are referring to by manual mode. If you mean manual focus, there is a physical switch on the lens you can use to toggle between AF and MF. If you are referring to manual aperture control, you must first set the camera to Av or M and configure your control ring to adjust your aperture.
