In 1959, The Screen Works, then known as Wilcox-Lange, began as an equipment and labor support company to the fledgling new industry of Audio Visual. Identifying a need for portable projection screens for the "traveling shows", the company began manufacturing their E-Z Fold brand of screens.
Since each show was unique, custom screen designs, shapes and new format sizes became a necessity. As the industry quickly grew, so did Wilcox-Lange, which became The Screen Works, a worldwide supplier of lightweight, portable, affordable projection screens and trim kits.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. can it be used on film cameras?
A: Yes, but only if your Canon film camera has an EOS EF mount. If it is older and has the Canon FD mount than that will not work.
Q: 2. Will a 150x150mm square filter cover the whole image at 11mm if sticked directly to the lens hood?
A: Yes. I got Lee filter holder for lee filters 150x150 and it cover perfectly.
Q: 3. Has anyone used this for astrophotography? I know a 2.8 is more desirable for that type of shooting.
A: If you use this for Astro you would need to run longer shutter speeds which would either result in blurry stars (due to the movement) or increased noise due to increasing the ISO (to compensate for the light difference on a f/2.8 lens) But it's definitely more than possible depending on the camera it's being used on.
Q: 4. On a Canon Mark 5 III would this possible be the best lens for trying to photograph the northern lights?
A: I currently own a dozen+ L lenses of all shapes and lengths, when I was considering the purchase I was going back and forth because of the price and I had other glass that was in the range at both ends. Canon was going to lend it to me to try through CPS but my impatience took over. After it arrived it in short order became one of the three lenses in my grab and go bag! Amazing is my answer... such a wide photo with such a low level of distortion on the edges... and the clarity is stunning =M
Q: 5. what does Constant f/4 Maximum Aperture mean when the aperture is 4-22?
A: Maximum aperature refers to the maximum or largest area of light that the lens will let in. And when it's constant it's allows you to open up to F/4 at any focal length. A lot of less expensive lenses have variable maximum aperatures that change as you zoom the lens. Maybe F/5.6 for example. So long story short...it's a great thing that you can open up to F/4 even at 24mm.
Q: 6. Will a polariser Gel work in the Rear slot effectively ? Thanks
A: I have not tried using the rear slot since my research indicated that a polarizer is not effective in such wide angle lenses. I am quite pleased with my new 11-24mm lens and have taken some beautiful shots in the sunshine.
Q: 7. So does this mean that a person won't see convergence in the view? Has Canon conquered the problem? For example the top of the view converging together and becoming circular?
A: The lens is considered rectilinear. Meaning technically if you keep the camera and lens level the lines should be very straight. But as this is a very new lens there are no real world reviews as to how it performs but from the specifications it does sound really good.
Q: 8. is there any info such as YouTube or otherwise to demonstrate how the rear gel filter works? meaning how and where it is inserted?
A: Canon EF 11-24mm f/4L USM Lens instruction manual in this link on page 10 of the pdf shows how to place the rear gel. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/254271.pdf
Q: 9. What is the angle of view on an APS-C camera?
A: It would be a 1.6 crop so roughly 17-38mm.
Q: 10. what about parallax convergence in more close up shots? if that is what you call it.
A: Parallax issues would only occur say in rangefinders where you have an offset viewfinder, or viewfinder above the lens. Since SLR viewfinders are correlated via a mirror, what you see in the viewfinder is what you get.
