Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I mount my cell phone to this telescope for photos?

A: Yes, you can mount Celestron's Basic Smartphone Adapter or NexYZ 3-Axis Universal Smartphone Adapter to the AstroMaster 130EQ to take photos with most cell phones.

Q: 2. can I use my canon 60D camera with this?

A: Yes, with a T ring adapter and a Barlow. If the Barlow has a removable lens, it can be screwed directly to the ring adapter to reduce magnification. To take photos at prime focus, however, you would need to significantly modify the focuser. It is possible to saw the focuser housing shorter, but it will decrease the stability of the focuser since the tube and housing are plastic.

Q: 3. Can I attached my mirrorless camera to this telescope with an adapter? And if so, what adapter do you recommend?

A: The Unistellar eVscope 2 114mm f/4 GoTo Reflector Telescope has a camera built in and there is no other way to attach another camera externally.

Q: 4. Will the lens ship with the hood?

A: Included In the Box with The TTArtisan 23mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony E (Black & Silver) would be the following. TTArtisan 23mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony E (Black & Silver) Front Lens Cap Rear Lens Cap Limited 1-Year Warranty

Q: 5. Is this lens compatible with Nikon z5 camera body?

A: Yes. The following unit is made and designed for Nikon Z bodies.

Q: 6. do you make shipping to mexico?

A: Yes we can ship this model to Mexico. If you add the item(s) to your cart, and change the Ship To Country to Mexico, then go through Check Out to type your Shipping Address in. It will display all the Shipping Options, Prices, as well as Delivery Estimates.

Q: 7. The description does not describe the telescope, only the mount. Is the Celestron 8" Newtonian is included?

A: It comes with the telescope, the Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) There is very little information available on Celestron website. 8” (200mm) f/5 optical design provides excellent wide field views Parabolic primary mirror minimizes spherical aberration to produce a better image.

Q: 8. Which one is better for Astrophotography for planets, the ASTROMASTER 130EQ or the ASTROMASTER 90EQ for detail and resolution?

A: For planetary viewing, I would go for the 90EQ. The added focal length helps a bit. With my 130EQ, a 2x Barlow, and an 8-24mm zoom eyepiece, I can see Saturn pretty clearly, but the 90EQ (which I also just acquired) has the extra magnification factor to bring it closer. It's noticeably dimmer with the 90EQ, but still visible. With that said, if your going to do ANYTHING other than planetary, the 130EQ wins every time! Just as cubic inches is king in drag racing, aperture is king in astronomy!

Q: 9. is there an accessory option for an MD for an 130EQ model not originally equipped with the MD?

A: The MD is compatible with the Manual Version. You can purchase it separately. It comes with everything you need to mount it to your Scope. Link: https://bhpho.to/3octWIL

Q: 10. Hello, I already have TT Artisan 50 mm f1.2 and 35 mm f2.0 lenses. Would I benefit from this 23 mm lens in some way?

A: Yes, the TTArtisan 23mm f/1.4 Lens for Sony E would give you a slightly wider focal length compared to your 35mm f/2 lens and a much wider focal length than your 50mm f/1.2 lens.
