Q: 1. Hello it's BARBAR from Lebanon.I bought a glidecam and i'velost the front vest. Is it possibleto have this accessories only? Thank you

A: For Glidecam replacement parts, please contact Glidecam directly. a href= http://glidecam.com/contact target= _blank http://glidecam.com/contact/a

Q: 2. Why there are many complaints regarding to the incompatibility of the Manfrotto 577 quick release plate with this glidecam?

A: My manfrotto plate doesn't stay tight on the cheese plate(The plate on the Glidecam that you put your own quick release plate on)I haven't found a solution yet. I have some gaff tape holding it tight.

Q: 3. this was 1500 a week ago whats changed?

A: There has been no price change on this model recently. It has been the current price for at least a few weeks.

Q: 4. Will this instrument work with a Sony FDR AX 100?

A: Yes

Q: 5. can I use the 2000 with the panasonic gx7? 14-42 kit lens? has anyone tried this? weight is 1.1 lbs.

A: The Glidecam HD2000 works with cameras between 2-6 pounds. If your load is only 1.1 pounds it will not work. Instead we suggest B&H #GLXRPRO, which is the Glidecam XR-PRO. The XR-Pro has a capacity between 0-10 pounds, so you can properly balance as 1.1 pound camera on this stabilizer.

Q: 6. Will the hd2000 work for the Sony FS100?

A: The load capacity of the HD2000 is between 2-6 pounds. It may work with the FS100, but you'll have very little margin for error on balancing it. We recommend the HD4000 instead, it has a load capacity between 4-10 pounds and is more appropriate for smaller to medium sized camcorders.

Q: 7. I use a Nikon D800 w/ 17-55 and a Rode VideoMic, would you recommend the HD2000 or 4000?

A: Your camera/lens/mic totals about 4lbs. That is in the sweet spot for both Glidecam's. You can use either one. The big challenge with this type of rig is the balancing and practice. Like any other skill, you have to commit to it. Once you get it, it will give you that dreamy floating look you want and do so affordably with minimal technology.

Q: 8. Will this glidecam hd2000 balance properly with a 5D Mark II? Also, the lens that I have is 24-105mm. Any help would be great!

A: This stabilizer will easily balance with the weight of a 5D mrk ii. The trick about a zoom lens, however is that the glass moves and changes the CG of the whole setup. Even though the changes are slight, you will notice a difference in the balance of the unit from 24mm to 105. You will also notice a big difference if you balance it with the lens cap on and then take it off. This is the nature of any passive stabilization system, which is why people often use prime lenses for this type of setup, or just deal with slightly less than perfect balance.

Q: 9. Is the handle/gimbal adjustable for shooting in inverted mode?

A: No. But you can shoot inverted just takes a little more on your part since the gimbal doesnt slide like on the graham series

Q: 10. Can it stand up on its own?

A: Yes, but I wouldn't leave it with a camera attached. It's very tippy and would be easy to accidentally tip over and damage your equipment.
