Most likely you will be fine since the 3 Legged Thing has a screw clamp: it is the lever clamp that sometimes in the past has caused problems. In the end the answer will be you testing the set-up. If it is good and solid and you like it; you are good to go. If not, do not use it.

A: When using the Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head, the Swing Arm Lock is supposed to actually lock the swing. If yours does not lock properly, and you received the Gimbal Head within 30 days, B&H is happy to take it back, with free shipping and replace it. If it is longer than 30 days, the GH-M1 Gimbal Head has a one year warranty, so one would send a note to the manufacturer: info@gradusgroup.com , and they will repair or replace your Swing Arm.
