The beige E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Highest Overload, with Detachable 1mm Cable and Hirose 6-Pin Connector for Samson Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one-tenth ounce. It is a water- and wind-resistant microphone that can be used on either ear for capturing audio in houses of worship, theater, or outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 Earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers forget they're wearing a mic. Three sensitivity options cover general speaking to extremely powerful vocals and four color options allow you to match the E6 to your skin tone for minimum visibility.

In addition, the E6 Earset features three omni caps (very bright +8 dB, bright +4 dB, and flat +0 dB) that deliver response characteristics for most other applications such as recording flute and violin. The E6 Earset is available as a directional microphone too with cardioid and hypercardioid caps. This omnidirectional E6 Earset's cable terminates to a Hirose 6-pin connector for direct connection to a Samson TX3 (Black), UT5, or UT6 wireless bodypack transmitter.

The Countryman E6 head-worn Earset is small and lightweight, and is hardly visible from a distance.

The E6 Earset's stainless steel boom is built tough and can be bent and re-bent many times to fit different performers. The E6 is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps.

The flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face and is available in multiple skin tones. Their protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones; caps for the directional earset adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid. Choose a sensitivity for speaking or singing with up to 140 dB SPL capability.

The E6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion and an SPL of up to 140 dB. It delivers rich, full band audio quality.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a position for rejecting unwanted sounds. Countryman's omnidirectional Earset offers a reduction of 12 dB compared to a lavalier mic, while the directional E6 Earset provides even more isolation. Excellent for houses of worship, theater, and outdoor events.

An E6 replacement cable installs in seconds. The snap-on cables are rugged and available for almost any wireless transmitter or for XLR inputs with phantom power.

For strong vocals.

Q: 1. Which zoom range dies the YN685 have on a cropped sensor camera?

A: The YN685 detects when it is connected to a crop sensor camera and appears to track the effective lens focal length while displaying the lens's stated focal length (which is pretty much standard industry practice). Due to the fact that the strobe's native zoom range is 20 to 200 mm, it's ability to track a zoom lens runs out of range at 200 / crop factor (125 mm on Canon's 1.6x crop sensors and 133 mm on Nikon or other 1.5x crop sensors). Once you hit the end of the strobe's zoom range, you'll get light fall off as the beam width exceeds the lens's viewing angle but, fact is, most uses for speedlites with long lenses put the strobes on stands anyway so the zoom tracking issue is moot. Were you to camera mount the flash with, say, a 70 - 200 mm zoom, the YN685 will track out to it's maximum and then run wide as mentioned before.BTW, I have two of these units that I use interchangeably on two full frame and one crop-sensor body. They have been great.

Q: 2. Hello! I have a Nikon D810 and a SB-700 (so far I have been working with the pop up flash in commander mode). I need a second flash unit and was considering the YN685. Does the YN685 work off camera on TTL mode when triggered by the pop-up flash of the Nikon D-810? Would I need a radio transmitter to control both flashes? In this case, can both flashes be set to TTL mode? Your answers would be very much appreciated!!! Thanks!

A: No the YN 685 wont fire with you built in flash. if you want to have your sb 700 and the yn685 working both off camera you will need a pair of these: https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1190877-REG/yongnuo_yn_622n_kit_yn_622n_i_ttl_wireless_transceiver.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1190877-REG/yongnuo_yn_622n_kit_yn_622n_i_ttl_wireless_transceiver.html/aas the yn685 already has the built in wireless.

Q: 3. Hi,I want to ask if it is possible to use YN-685 on-camera to fire Nikon flash set on the YN-622N trigger (eg. on the light stand) so they fire simultaneously? Is that possible please?Thank youMario

A: Unfortunately, no, the setup you describe above would not work as you describe. The YN685 for Nikon does not directly provide any radio master functions as it only has a built-in radio receiver, not a transmitter or transceiver. As such, it may only be used wirelessly off-camera for radio triggering usage needs when a YN-622N-TX, YN-622N / II, YN560-TX, YN560IV, YN660 RF-605, or RF-603 II transmitters are used on the camera as a master transmitter. You may either connect an additional YN-622N transceiver on the camera's hot shoe (with the YN-685 on top of the unit) for your usage needs, or use one of the Nikon flashes on the YN-622N on the camera's hot shoe, and use the built-in radio in the YN-685 for use as your off-camera flash.

Q: 4. Will YN-622N-TX sitting on the camera control zoom on YN-685 remotely?

A: Yes it works perfect.

Q: 5. Will this allow a Nikon flash to work in full manual - not iTTL? And will it also support HSS if the Nikon flash and camera offer HSS?

A: If you use the Godox Nikon Trigger, this Godox receiver will provide, Manual, i-TTL, TTL, & Ratio Flash Mode; High-Speed Sync.

Q: 6. hola es compatible con una 5d mkII? muchas gracias

A: Si, es compatible con una 5D mk II.

Q: 7. Can I use a mag mod grip with with this flash?

A: Yes, it will fit.

Q: 8. How does the 1 year limited warranty work when the unit stops working?

A: If youre not outside of the warranty, contact the manufacturer for replacement.

Q: 9. Would this work as a receiver for a manual yongnuo flash? If so what features would I have?

A: No you will need a transmitter on camera and a receiver on the flash. Yongnuo makes them.

Q: 10. I used my YN685 for the first time this weekend with Duracell 2500 mha rechargeable batteries and after 84 pops in TTL mode the flash told me that the batteries were dead and needed to replace them. I had to go back to the SB800 where I get around 500 pops in TTL mode with the same batteries. Is this a normal function with this flash or is it defective? Also, I recharged the batteries I used in the YN685 and my Maha 8000 charger and it told me that only 500 mha were used out of the 2500 whereas the same batteries out of the SB800 were charged to 2500 which meant that I used them completely. Do I need to return the the unit and get a replacement?

A: You might want to try Panasonic eneloop batteries. I have used them in my YN-685 and YN-560IV and YN-568EX without an issue.
