The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.
The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.
The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.
A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is black and features a Switchcraft TA4-Female connector for Shure transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.
The included 1mm Diameter Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.
The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.
This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can it shoot XAVC HS 4K at 30p? I don't see it as an option.
A: Unfortunately it cannot shoot 4K 30P in the XAVC HS format. You'll have to do XAVC-S or XAVC-S-I for 4K 30P.
Q: 2. Will it work with my Sony XLR-A1M audio adapter via the Multi-Interface connector shoe?
A: Yes, the Sony XLR-K1M Adapter and Microphone Kit (B&H # SOXLRK1M) will work with the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera with Accessories Kit.
Q: 3. Would this be a good camera upgrade from a73
A: Yes, definitely. The jump from the a7 III to the a7 IV is a pretty big one: there's a new higher-resolution sensor (33MP vs 24MP), a new image processor from the flagship a1, improved video (4K 60p 10-bit recording vs 4K 30p 8-bit), better AF and subject tracking/detection, and some additional updates and improvements in the physical design and interface. It's a very strong upgrade from both photo and video perspectives.
Q: 4. For the 24-105mm lens, is this the one designed for full-format? What is the model number?
A: Yes, the 24-105mm lens, supplied with the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera with 24-105mm Lens and Accessories Kit (128GB Card, 2250, is a full frame lens, and it is model: BH #SO241054G • MFR #SEL24105G/2
Q: 5. Does the EVF have an adjustable eyepiece?
A: RX1R m2 comes with a rubber eyepiece that can be attached to EVF. Fixed size but easily detachable,EVF also has a knob for diopter adjust.
Q: 6. Is this camera will work with sigma lenses? Because i have not seen any sigma lenses in accessories
A: Yes, Sigma makes lenses specifically for the Sony FE mount. These will be fully compatible with the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera. One can find compatible Sigma lenses at the link below: https://bhpho.to/3BBxxbK Additionally Sigma lenses in the EF-mount can be adapted using the Sigma MC-11 Mount Converter/Lens Adapter (Sigma EF-Mount Lenses to Sony E), BH #SIMC11C (https://bhpho.to/3xI87bg).
Q: 7. Is there a wide angle converter that will work with this camera?
A: There is no Sony wide angle converter for this camera.
Q: 8. What is the max bitrate for S&Q 120fps? Is it still just 12 and 16 like the a7riv? Or has it improved?
A: Sony hasn't provided this information just yet, hopefully we'll have these figures available once the user manual is released.
Q: 9. This camera has a bad reputation for overheating. If I record directly to a ninja V, does the problem persist?
A: Overheating depends on many factors, e.g., resolution, bit rate and the continuous recording time. You can minimize overheating if you record externally on a Ninja V and use a dummy battery.
Q: 10. Can I disable most of the info on the display? When I look at these Sony camera's they appear to me like a game station. All I need if Focus point & confirmation, S, A and ISO
A: Yes you have that option.
