The cocoa E6i (6-Pin Hirose) from Countryman is a miniature, omnidirectional, earset condenser microphone designed for accurate voice reproduction (speaking and singing) and near-invisible appearance in theater, concerts, lectures, houses or worship, and more. It features a water- and wind-resistant capsule that delivers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions and should be used when feedback is not common.

The 5’ detachable cable has a diameter of 1mm, and features a 6-pin Hirose connector for compatibility with Samson transmitters. The E6i offers a flexible boom for versatile placement. The three protective caps yield different high-end frequency presence. The supplied windscreen protects the condenser element, and reduces plosives and wind noise. Cable clips and a carrying case are included.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear section. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin. For more information on which color earset suits you best, refer to the Countryman support page.

The included 1mm diameter cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture both speech and vocal performances without noise and distortion.

Q: 1. Dors this cam comes with cine gammas?

A: Yes the A7IV has S-log for movie shooting.

Q: 2. Can I use an Android phone to do live streaming from this camera or it's only compatible to Sony Xperia phones?

A: You can livestream using the A7R IV or most Android phones, but not both together.

Q: 3. This is almost 10y old camera. My a7R Mk2 from the same time had very poor AF. Is this camera's AF the same as a7R2?

A: Yes, The Sony RX1R II shares the same sensor and auto focusing of the Sony A7R II.

Q: 4. What is the dynamic range?

A: The dynamic range for the A7 IV is approximately 15 stops.

Q: 5. Can it shoot XAVC HS 4K at 30p? I don't see it as an option.

A: Unfortunately it cannot shoot 4K 30P in the XAVC HS format. You'll have to do XAVC-S or XAVC-S-I for 4K 30P.

Q: 6. What is the maximum flash sync speed?

A: Camera has leaf shutter, specs say X sync speed is 1/2000 though I haven't tried it

Q: 7. Does Sony have a proprietary post processing program like Canon's DPP 4?

A: Yes, like most lcd screens you can not ware Polarizing sunglasses while viewing the LCD screen on the Sony A7 IV.

Q: 9. Is this camera will work with sigma lenses? Because i have not seen any sigma lenses in accessories

A: Yes, Sigma makes lenses specifically for the Sony FE mount. These will be fully compatible with the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera. One can find compatible Sigma lenses at the link below: https://bhpho.to/3BBxxbK Additionally Sigma lenses in the EF-mount can be adapted using the Sigma MC-11 Mount Converter/Lens Adapter (Sigma EF-Mount Lenses to Sony E), BH #SIMC11C (https://bhpho.to/3xI87bg).

Q: 10. What's the average file size of the lossless compressed raw format unique to this camera?

A: Due to this camera not being officially released yet, the only information available would be from reviewers with pre-production copies of the A7IV. However, we can make some guesses based on other current-generation Sony cameras. Based on current information we know from the Sony A1, the current file size reduction at 100 ISO is 37% and its uncompressed RAW file sizes at 50MP are approximately 56MB - 75MB. The A7IV will likely use the same algorithms, and we can guess-timate its uncompressed RAWs to roughly 37-49MB. Lossless compressed would then give you roughly a 24.5-31MB .ARW file.
