The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is cocoa and features a Switchcraft TA4-Female connector for Sabine transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included 2mm Diameter Duramax Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the Sony FDA-EVM1K Electronic Viewfinder (for RX1) work on this camera?

A: The RX1R II has a built in viewfinder.

Q: 2. Can I use an Android phone to do live streaming from this camera or it's only compatible to Sony Xperia phones?

A: You can livestream using the A7R IV or most Android phones, but not both together.

Q: 3. Does this camera's rear LCD black out with polarized sunglasses?

A: Yes, like most lcd screens you can not ware Polarizing sunglasses while viewing the LCD screen on the Sony A7 IV.

Q: 4. Does Sony have a proprietary post processing program like Canon's DPP 4?

A: It is recommended to use Capture One Pro 23 (Download), BH # CAPRO23D for post processing. https://bhpho.to/3K4fdxD

Q: 5. What's the average file size of the lossless compressed raw format unique to this camera?

A: Due to this camera not being officially released yet, the only information available would be from reviewers with pre-production copies of the A7IV. However, we can make some guesses based on other current-generation Sony cameras. Based on current information we know from the Sony A1, the current file size reduction at 100 ISO is 37% and its uncompressed RAW file sizes at 50MP are approximately 56MB - 75MB. The A7IV will likely use the same algorithms, and we can guess-timate its uncompressed RAWs to roughly 37-49MB. Lossless compressed would then give you roughly a 24.5-31MB .ARW file.

Q: 6. Can this camera use canon efs lenses in crop mode ( with adapter ) is the AF still works ?

A: From our tests with currently available Sony models (namely the A7RIV, A1, and A7SIII) and the Metabones adapter, we've had success with several EF-S lenses. The combination of A7RIV + Metabones + EF-S 18-55mm and 18-135mm lenses was quite good and we assume reliability will depend on the lens itself. In most of our tests, AF-C in video was not fully reliable.

Q: 7. what are the main difference between 4k 60 fps video coming out of Sony a7 iv crop sensor and 4k 60 fps video coming out of FF sensor? in terms of video quality? Thanks

A: The A7 IV is not capable of doing 4K60p in full frame. It is only capable of recording 4k 60p in the crop mode. If you choose 4K 24p or 30p you have the option to choose full frame or super 35mm mode and the differences are very minor. Typically the Super35mm mode has less rolling shutter giving it an advantage when filming fast moving subjects. Outside of that and the obvious difference in field of view the 2 modes are usually very similar.

Q: 8. Can you use interchangeable lenses with this camera? If so, which ones?

A: This camera cannot use interchangeable lenses.

Q: 9. What is the maximum flash sync speed?

A: Camera has leaf shutter, specs say X sync speed is 1/2000 though I haven't tried it

Q: 10. Can I get it on December 30th?

A: We can not guarantee any type of receiving date for newly released products. The item is going to start shipping on December 30th and will not be available before or even on this date. Your best course of action will be to place an order as soon as possible if you haven't already.
