Q: 1. Does this fit a Canon 5D Mark ii or mark iii?EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Autofocus Lens by Canon

A: Both the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and 5D Mark III DSLR Cameras are full-frame cameras with a full-frame sensor, and both use the Canon EF lens mount (indicated by the red dot on the lens mount). Unfortunately, the Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Autofocus Lens is specifically designed for the smaller APS-C 1.6x cropped sensor size (indicated by the white square on the lens mount), and would not fit onto full-frame cameras. In reference to the lens' angle-of-view on the camera, the closest full-frame lens that would be comparable and compatible with both cameras would be the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens, B&H # CA2813535IS, (as 17-85mm x 1.6 = 27.2-136mm).

Q: 2. Will this work with a Westcott FJ-400?

A: As it uses the Bowens mount, it would be compatible with the FJ400 from Westcott.

Q: 3. Is this lens parfocal?

A: No, the following lens is not a parfocal lens.

Q: 4. Would this do for horses, pets and indoors? There is one more expensive so wondering which is better. This is on sale and suggested over kit lenses with 80D. Would love feedback soon?

A: Definitely yes. I have used it for 4 dogs and a cat both indoors and out. Quite pleased with the results and ease of use.

Q: 5. What is the most powerful (brightest) LED light (continuous, for video) that this mount is compatible with?

A: The Godox SA-17 Bowens Mount to S30 Mount Adapter BH #GOSA17 is an adapter and is not specified for a max wattage rating.

Q: 6. Does this lens work with Z cameras with a Nikon FZ lens adapter?

A: Yes, the Tokina atx-i 17-35mm f/4 FF will work so long as you have the Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter.

Q: 7. Does it have IS? Want to find good lens for BMPCC

A: Unfortunately, the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 USM is not image-stabilized.

Q: 8. i want to combine this lense with the sony a6000 with sigma mc 11 adapter . or should i just get the sony 10 18 mm . thanks

A: Generally native lenses work more smoothly than non-native lenses with adapters. Also best in mind that the a6000 is an APS-C camera so the 17-40 will become a 27-64mm equivalent lens on the a6000 (give or take a few mm, depends on exact APS-C sensor size)TL;DR 10-18

Q: 9. Will this work with q2n?

A: Yes

Q: 10. I have a canon 6D with the kit lens 24-105mm F/4L lens. Is this EF17-40 F/4L make a lot of difference in image quality as well as wide angle coverage and depth of field for just the 7MM difference. I do a lot of travel and landscape photos.

A: Aside from the difference in focal lengths, the 17-40mm f/4L will give you a closer minimum focusing distance than the 24-105mm will. However, the 24-105mm features image stabilization, whereas the 17-40mm does not. Both of these lenses are great choices for landscape and travel photography, as they both feature wide angle and standard focal lengths, as well as a constant f/4 aperture. The 24-105mm may give you more versatility if you want a lens that has more range on the telephoto end, however, if you are shooting primarily wider shots, the 17-40mm is excellent.
