Rosco Calibrated Color is a series of color effects lighting filters designed specifically to the spectral sensitivity of color film.

The series includes the primary colors Blue, Green and Red, along with the secondary colors Yellow, Magenta and Cyan followed by Pink and Lavender.

Each color is designed in four densities: 15, 30, 60 and 90, corresponding to the familiar 1/2, 1, 2 and 3 stop calibrations.

In color photography, three light-sensitive emulsion layers separately record the individual blue, green and red components of the spectrum.

CalColor filters adjust the transmission of these color components at the individual light source in a familiar and reliable manner.

As a result, the cinematographer can exercise selective and predictable control over the image's coloration as rendered by the film.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This lens shows .24x magnification in the specs compared to Canon's 24-70 f2.8L II that shows .21x magnification. Some of the customer images look macro. Does this lens outperform the Canon lens for extreme close ups? The minimum focus distance on both lenses is the same. How does this work?

A: I do not have a specific answer but I do use the GM 24-70 a lot for kind of macro shots and it works great if the subject is larger than say a postage stamp or thereabouts, especially when around 2 inch or more. I use the SONY 90 mm 1:1 macro lens for most of my macro shooting but the 24-70 is great for flowers, butterflies, etc.....

Q: 2. Would this system be good for editing video with 4 - 4k edit stations attached ?

A: Yes, this unit is purpose built for high speed workgroup access, but requires the correct infrastructure to do so.

Q: 3. can you zoom while recording video?

A: Yes, you can zoom while recording video. You will have to manually zoom though.

Q: 4. How does this lens preform on the a7ii? I heard about some autofocus issues and if so, will the update firmware fix this?

A: I had it on A7Rii, but I would assume that it be a same on A7ii. I did return this lens (B&H was really good about it, never hesitate to buy anything from them - they stand behind their products). My problem was with auto focus. I don't know if lens was defective or it just works this way. I do have the latest firmware update but taking a photo-shoot of about 200 pictures of the same person from about the same distance and same light conditions I had about 70% of pictures slightly out focus. Not enough to show on camera screen or smaller size prints, but enough to see if enlarged. I have 55mm Sony-Zeiss , 25mm Batis, 85mm Batis and 70-200 mm f4 Sony G. Never had any problems like that with auto focus on any of my lenses, so I know it was not a camera problem.

Q: 5. Will the D780 autofocus the older "D" screw drive lenses?

A: Yes, the D780 like the D750 can autofocus with AF Nikkor D ED lenses.

Q: 6. is this camera refurbished?

A: Nikon D780 DSLR Camera (Body Only) is not refurbished. It is a new camera, never used before.

Q: 7. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4374918 Various users reporting a round flare issue with this lens and it was reported way back in 2016. It says it's a hardware issue that there is no way to fix it. How will they going to deal with this issue?

A: The flare issue has been resolved, there should not be any issues with this lens.

Q: 8. I'm wondering how this lens compares to the Sony FE PZ 28-105 f4 for video shooting on A7s II?

A: The 24-70 is so new there are not many real world reviews and comparisons. The 24-70mm is a faster lens at f/2.8. So it is better in low light. The 24-70mm has a quiet focus motor so that is very good for video. But it does not have compared to the other lens is,Independent control rings for zoom, focus, and iris (aperture) are provided for and the focus mode can be switched from auto to manual by sliding the focus ring forward so control is maintained at all times. All three control rings have been engineered to provide the right amount of torque for comfortable, responsive operation and the pitch of the scalloping on the rings has been designed for comfortable, slip-free control.

Q: 9. could you please tell me where the sony 24-70mm 2/8 GM made? is it in Japan? Thanks.

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is Thailand. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 10. Is the lens for a7 markIII

A: Yes, it will attach to an a7 Mark III and work very well. A bit on the heavy side though.
