The DA-250DH from Toa Electronics is a high-quality 1RU digital amplifier designed for installed applications running at 70V. It offers two channels of input and output, with removable terminal block inputs and a screw terminal strip for outputs. If desired, the first input channel signal can be routed to both outputs, perfect for multi-zone paging.

The front of the unit provides large control knobs for input level control, as well as LEDs to show input, output, power, peak, and protect status. The built-in protection circuitry protects against damages from short circuits, overloads, and overheating. Class-D circuitry provides excellent audio quality and allows the DA-250DH to operate at 85 percent efficiency, so it consumes almost 1/3 less power than analog amplifiers.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The tripos socket broke out of my Nikon Coolpix P900 because it is plastic and it was not positioned in the middle of the camera. Has this been corrected in the P950?

A: They did position the tripod socket in the center with the P950 but regarding how strong the tripod socket is, that I don't see any mention in the specs unfortunately. I would recommend using a tripod that has a long quick release plate that would hold the camera completely from the back to the front. For example this one comes with a long plate. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1432994-REG/manfrotto_mvkbfrl_liveus_befree_live_aluminum_lever_lock.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the SB-600?

A: Yes any Nikon flash will be compatible with this Nikon P1000 digital camera, including the SB-600 flash.

Q: 3. In the video you show, the camera comes with the lens hood but on your website it looks like its extra Which is it?

A: The lens hood is included with the camera according to the specs and Nikon's website.

Q: 4. Can the P950 use a remote wireless shutter release?

A: Yes, this camera can be used with a wireless shutter release. Here is a link to the compatible shutter releases: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/accessories/Shutter-Releases-for-the-Nikon-P950/1538573-REG-48203?filters=fct_shutter-release-type_3548%3Awireless-bluetooth%7Cwireless-rf-radio-frequency

Q: 5. Any threads for filters and what size?

A: The Panasonic Lumix FZ80D Digital Camera's lens has a 55mm front filter thread for mounting circular filters.

Q: 6. I was excited about the P1000 shooting raw but now understand you can't shoot birds with it and Lightroom cannot handle it so what is the point? Also, will it allow fast continuous shooting e.g. a running animal or flying bird?

A: This camera is more than capable of taking pictures of wildlife, birds included. The quality of the results are far more dependent on your technique than on the capabilities of the camera. I am not aware of a DSLR that has a 3000mm lens with an effective stabilization system that is fast enough to take a picture in deep woods with no direct sunlight. I have taken pictures of birds (perched owls don't move much ) at the full 3000mm handheld at 1/125 of a second. You need a rest (a tree) to lean against and every shot isn't perfect, but enough are. I believe that it is possible to develop technique that will allow sharp pictures without a tripod at unbelievably low shutter speeds. Also, because of the nature of the evf, the finder is always bright. Focus, composition and exposure modification are much easier in the dark with this system, believe me. Lightroom works fine on the JPGs and you know that support will eventually be provided for raw. I printed my barred owl at about a 50% crop to 8x10 and the quality is superior. Remember, the advantage that this camera has is super long tele photography at ridiculously slow shutter speeds. All the stabilization in the world won't stop a hummingbird's wings at 1/125 of a second. Cameras are tools and the point of this one is to allow you to take pictures that would otherwise be beyond the capability of previously available equipment. It remains limited by all of those external distance related issues that have always been problems (heatwaves, haze, subject movement) and the like. Just as an aside the lens literally provides so much magnification that its hard to find the subject in the finder hence the red dot. This camera makes a walk through the woods in the late afternoon a meaningful photographic experience.era is about the same price as a long tele-zoom for a DX camera.

Q: 7. Would this be a good camera choice to take to Disney world?

A: Yes, it is a great all around travel camera that covers all focal ranges.

Q: 8. Is this camera significantly better than the p 950 for shooting far away subjects (seals that are about 1/10th of a mile away)?

A: Yes. The zoom long ins the Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera zooms to a 3000mm equivalent range so it can zoom in closer compared to the P950 which zooms to 2000mm equivalent. But this the P950 has the 2nd longest zoom range among the current bridge cameras.

Q: 9. Does this camera have a problem with auto focus? It does not seem to be working. Switch is in correct position.

A: AF should not be an issue with this camera. You may want to contact Nikon 800-NIKON-US for servicing.

Q: 10. Can we tether this camera for shooting via computer, like we can the DSLRs?

A: Sorry, we are not finding any tethering options for this camera at this time.

Fantastic performance and decent value. Is it the absolute fastest? No, Samsung has faster options I believe but at much higher prices. Will you notice the difference in speed? Unlikely.

I've used these for years and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
