The Tiffen Series 9 CC05R Red Filter is a color compensating (or color correction) filter for use when making color balance adjustments. It can be used to alter the color balance of a scene by placing in front of a light source or the lens of your camera. It can also be used to apply color corrections when used in the darkroom with an enlarger or to help pre-visualize color adjustments when viewing prints.

Red is the opposite of cyan and can be used to reduce cyan tones or casts within a scene or print. This red CC05 is less dense than a CC10 filter, and requires a 0.3 stop compensation for normal exposure results.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings. This filter is compatible with Series 9 filter holders.

Q: 1. Will the Really Right Stuff BH-40 head fit when tripod is packed up?

A: First of all, the tripod itself . . . is impressive regarding quality and feel. It's comparable to my RRS full size. With the BH 40, the legs fold as expected, but instead of the legs being perfectly parallel, they splay out a bit - because the BH 40 is larger around than the smaller, lighter travel ball heads. The only problem is to make sure your bag is large enough around to fit the slightly splayed legs. It's only about 3/4 wider. All in all, the 1555 and BH 40 make a very nice set-up, and the BH 40 adds a bit of security for larger rigs. I use it with my 5d3 and 100-400 with complete confidence.

Q: 2. There are two Thunderbolt inputs on the back, are both required to use in Raid5?

A: No... you only need 1 in order to run Raid 5.

Q: 3. When using RAID 10 (aka 1+0), what can be done with the fifth drive? I'm leaning towards two units; both RAID 10. First unit will be a main working unit and I'd like the fifth drive to be a hot-spare. Second unit will be my backup unit and I want the fifth drive to be available to copy certain critical files to (I'll then swap it out with a blank drive and take the filled drive to an offsite backup location). Over time, I'll keep trading the fifth drives when updating the offsite backup. Thank you. Side note: I've downloaded the various documentation from LaCie, but have not found any details on RAID 10 configurations.

A: Not certain that the hot spare can actively be used. While not invalid, using the second unit as backup seems very conservative. Also your backup unit should have more capacity than your primary to allow for file variations and history. You could use the 2nd version in Raid 0 configuration or use a simpler JBod enclosure. As for the offsite backup - a pair of simple Lacie Rugged drives that you alternate seem to be more cost effective and easier to handle.

Q: 4. How do I turn off the alarm sounding every time the RAID synchronizes?

A: The mute button is located on the far right of where the buttons are located. You can find it on page 10 in the manual:a href= http://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/103819.pdf target= _blank http://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/103819.pdf/a

Q: 5. will it work with the sony a7 1v ?

A: No the a7 (original version) only had a Single Slot: SD/SDHC/SDXC/Memory Stick Duo Hybrid (UHS-I)

Q: 6. Hey can it work with a hp z820 workstation.my workstation has a thunderbolt port?

A: I did have to download software from there site so if I were you I'd just go on there and make sure they have it available for windows. Other then that it performs great

Q: 7. Dose RSS L bracket for the gripped Sony a7III fit with this grip?

A: Yes, it fits.

Q: 8. Does this grip fits SONY A7 IV ?

A: No, this grip is not intended for the A7IV. The appropriate grip would be this. B&H # VEBGS7

Q: 9. Would this work with Manfrotto 054 Magnesium Ball Head (with Q2 Quick Release)? I used 054 with Manfrotto 190XPROB, they fit well. And would like to know if 054 fits Gitzo GT2532 Mtnr Series2

A: I dont know about that ball head but the tripod has the 3/8 screw mount. I use it with am Arca swiss B1...

Q: 10. I want to know why the 30TB is FASTER than the 10TB? Is the difference in hardware beyond simply using 5x2TB drives or 5x6TB drives??? Can you please explain? I was thinking about purchasing the 10TB and then upgrading the drives myself at a later time. What are your thoughts? Thank you!

A: Disk capacity does have an influence on the speed of an array. The 5Big chassis is the same for both the 10, and 30TB configurations. Personally I would purchase the higher capacity if you either need the speed, or if you think the full capacity will be needed in the future. It is a pain at a minimum to backup an array to change the drives.
