Technique of Film Editing, 2nd Edition - This is a classic work on the art and techniques of film editing. Starting with an overview and history of editing, the authors move on to cover the gamut of editing genres - from narrative and documentary to wide-screen film making, cinema verite, and the avant-garde.
You'll learn how the different styles and types of editing contribute to a successful production as well as how they directly effect the emotional and psychological component of the work. They'll cover the differences between smooth and abrupt editing and explain the dramatic consequences of both.

Q: 3. How much of the ProPhoto RGB color space does this cover?
A: The manufacturer not mention the color gamut percentage for ProPhoto RGB. The color space for the BenQ SW321C 32" 16:9 4K HDR IPS Photo and Video Editing Monitor is as it follows: Color Gamut 99% Adobe RGB; 95% DCI-P3; 100% sRGB; 100% Rec. 709
Q: 4. How does this monitor hold up for general web browsing beyond photo editing?
A: The BenQ SW321C 32" 16:9 4K HDR IPS Photo and Video Editing Monitor will browse the web just as well as any other monitor since web browsing isn't really a taxing application that would be improved by a higher quality monitor. The colors will be 100% accurate and the text may be made smaller and sharper due to the higher resolution but that's about it.
Q: 5. Please, advice: the best hardware calibrator for this monitor ? Maybe Datacolor SpyderX Pro Colorimeter can be good ?

Q: 7. Why does my screen go black when I try to adjust 3D settings on my nVidia Quadro P3200? I have to hook up another monitor to reset the display. Windows 10 Pro
A: For tech inquiries, please email us at pc@bhphoto.com.
Q: 8. The max brightness here is listed at 250 which is well below the lower priced ASUS pro art pa329c which seems to have equal specs otherwise. Why would one pay more for this - with seemingly inferior specs? I feel I’m missing something. Any input is appreciated. Regardless, the 250 max brightness is concerning to me since most other monitors in this class seem to far exceed that.
A: If you are looking for a professional photo editing monitor, while some can go higher, the brightness will ultimately have an effect on how accurate the image is when you are looking at it. For example, if you have an Adobe RGB workflow, the recommended target brightness to properly display that color space is 160 nits which is much lower than what most people might think. In the end, it will ultimately depend on what your specific workflow needs are and the color spaces that you work with. If you have any other questions, please reach out to pc@bhphotovideo.com so we can discuss further.
Q: 9. Does this monitor have thin bezel like its 27" version? Some videos/pictures on the web show it being thicker than what's shown here.
A: It looks like there is a discrepancy with the images. The Ben Q website does show a thicker bezel on this model. I have submitted the issue to our web content team so it can be updated as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Q: 10. Datacolor SpyderX Pro Colorimeter - the good choice for calibration this monitor, or can be better ?
A: Yes, the SpyderX Pro Colorimeter will be a good choice for the BenQ SW321C 32" 16:9 4K HDR IPS Photo and Video Editing Monitor.
