The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a Pigtail (Unterminated) connector for use with wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this have a spring return?

A: Yes, The Davis & Sanford V9 Fluid Video Head has a fixed counterbalance spring. Whether it is tipped forward or backward, once released it will return to level.

Q: 2. Thinking of moving up from some manfrotto heads. Manfrotto uses two different rosette patterns for their panbars. Is the sachtler pattern the same as either of the manfrotto?

A: Manfrotto and Sachtler Tripods will have different rosette patterns for different pan bars. They will nto be cross compatible.

Q: 3. Will this head work with the Sachtler Flowtech 75 tripod?

A: yes, it will

Q: 4. What have been your experiences with this unit? Do you find it sturdy and well made? If you had to buy it again, would you? If not, what would you buy in the same price range and why?

A: Yes, the Benro IB0 Triple Action Ball Head is a well-made, sturdy ball head. As long as your equipment is less than the ball head's listed maximum load capacity, the ball head would be a fantastic recommendation for your needs. I do not own a Benro tripod, but I have borrowed one for use with my Caon 7D and Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens, which is approximately 5.1 lbs, and had no issues.

Q: 5. Can the quick release head be rotated 90 degrees, so it can be used with an L-bracket and lens without a lens foot?

A: This head can be tilted 90 degress and works with a camera that has an L-bracket attached.

Q: 6. Is the clamp attached to this head, removable by the user? If so what size/type of screw is used?

A: I have not tried to remove the clamp an do not want to try (it may be on with lock-tight). However the USA rep is very easy to reach and can answer the question. Look up Rod Klukas Arca Swiss (b&h does not allow phone numbers or web information on the reply)I hope that helps, (he is very prompt at answering questions)

Q: 7. How do I adjust the friction and pan? The knobs (including head locking) are extremely tight.

A: The ball operates with the locking knob and friction-control/tension knob, while the pan-axis uses the separate pan-locking knob. Typically, it operates without much effort. Reach out to us via video live-chat if you are having trouble with it and we should be able to troubleshoot it together. :)

Q: 8. Are the old V1 batteries and this one interchangable? Can I use this battery in the old V1?

A: Unfortunately, the Godox VB30 Battery for V1Pro Flash Head is not compatible with the older V1. The batteries are not interchangeable.

Q: 9. How much is the AD600PRO's power reduced by use of this extension?

A: You may lose 1/4-1 stop of light.

Q: 10. What is the difference between clamps and plates? Are both a clamp and a plate needed to attach heads to tripods and monopods?

A: A clamp is the vice-like portion of the head that is adjustable and can be tightened or loosened in order to hold an arca-swiss type plate. The plate attaches to the bottom of the camera and then to the top of this head via the clamp. Once the clamp is tightened onto the plate, the camera is securely attached to the head.
