The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is beige and features a Toa 1/8" (3.5mm) Mini connector for Toa transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included 1mm Diameter Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will existing plates for A7 iii fit?

A: Most plates designed for the A7III will not work on the A7IV. The A7IV body is more in line with the A7SIII. If you're looking for plates for this camera, I would look at A7SIII/A7IV accessories.

Q: 2. Can I use my SEL1018 APSC e mount lens to shoot 4k 60p footage considering the super 35 crop factor?

A: If you shoot video in Super 35 format using the Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS Lens, you should experience little to no vignetting, depending on the focal length you use: 10-13mm might show some vignetting; 14-18mm should not show any.

Q: 3. Does this camera have issues freezing or setting stuck?

A: No, the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera (BH #SOA74) should not have issues with freezing or stuck settings. If you think your Sony a7 IV may be faulty, contact B&H customer service at 800-221-5743.

Q: 4. Can I use the same USB C cable that came with my Canon EOS R8 to transfer photos to a Macbook Pro?

A: The Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera comes with a USB Type-C to Type-A cable, and all MacBook Pros after 2016 don't have a USB-A port, so either you have to use a USB-A to USB-C adapter or you get a USB-C male to USB-C male cable. You can find the options here: https://bhpho.to/4d8tUe2.

Q: 5. Does Eye AF work with any lens? Or does the lens need to be compatible?

A: While it does work with any native auto-focus capable E mount lens, the mileage varies. Generally the Sony lenses perform the best, other options like Tamron, Sigma and Samyang as an example would also work.

Q: 6. What is the resolution the crop 4K 60 is downsampled from? Some YouTubers say its 5.9K, some say 4.6K; some say it's 22mp and others say 14mp. Which is it???

A: I contacted Sony concerning your inquiry. According to Sony, the video from the Sony Alpha a7 IV Mirrorless Camera is oversampled, not downsampled. However, they did not indicate a resolution from which the video is oversampled.

Q: 7. Does this have built in automatic focus bracketing?

A: No. The A7IV does not have built in automatic focus bracketing.

Q: 8. I am trying to connect a7iv to a mixpre 3 ii? what is the best way to do this to record onto both camera and mixpre sd card?

A: The Sound Devices MixPre-3 II 3-Channel / 5-Track Multitrack 32-Bit Field Recorder has a 3.5mm Stereo Out connection, which could be used to make a hardwired connection to the 3.5mm input on the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera via a standard, stereo 3.5mm cable. Alternatively, with the appropriate cable, this same output connection could feed a wireless transmitter typically used for lavaliers while the correlating receiver mounts onto the camera, receives signal from the transmitter, and inputs it into the camera for a "wireless camera send".

Q: 9. Will this plug and play as a webcam? No HDMI capture card needed?

A: Yes, the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera can plug and play by using a USB C cable.

Q: 10. what is included?

A: Items included are: Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera Sony NP-FZ100 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (2280mAh) AC Adapter and Power Cord Sony ALC-B1EM Body Cap for E-Mount Cameras Shoulder Strap Accessory Shoe Cap Eyepiece Cup USB Type-C to Type-A Cable Limited 1-Year Warranty
