The beige E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Highest Gain, with Detachable 2mm Cable and LEMO 3-Pin Connector for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one-tenth ounce. It is a water- and wind-resistant microphone that can be used on either ear for capturing audio in houses of worship, theater, or outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 Earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers forget they're wearing a mic. Three sensitivity options cover general speaking to extremely powerful vocals and four color options allow you to match the E6 to your skin tone for minimum visibility.

In addition, the E6 Earset features three omni caps (very bright +8 dB, bright +4 dB, and flat +0 dB) that deliver response characteristics for most other applications such as recording flute and violin. The E6 Earset is available as a directional microphone too with cardioid and hypercardioid caps. This omnidirectional E6 Earset's cable terminates to a LEMO 3-pin connector for direct connection to a Sennheiser SK 2000 wireless bodypack transmitter.

The Countryman E6 head-worn Earset is small and lightweight, and is hardly visible from a distance.

The E6 Earset's stainless steel boom is built tough and can be bent and re-bent many times to fit different performers. The E6 is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps.

The flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face and is available in multiple skin tones. Their protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones; caps for the directional earset adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid. Choose a sensitivity for speaking or singing with up to 140 dB SPL capability.

The E6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion and an SPL of up to 140 dB. It delivers rich, full band audio quality.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a position for rejecting unwanted sounds. Countryman's omnidirectional Earset offers a reduction of 12 dB compared to a lavalier mic, while the directional E6 Earset provides even more isolation. Excellent for houses of worship, theater, and outdoor events.

An E6 replacement cable installs in seconds. The snap-on cables are rugged and available for almost any wireless transmitter or for XLR inputs with phantom power.

For general speaking.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How different is it from Broncolor RFS 2.2 N Transceiver for Nikon?

A: This transmitter can only fire the Godox shoe mount flash and monolights which have their X series receiver built into it or with an X1R receiver attached to it. The Broncolor RFS 2.2N only works on the frequency of the Broncolor RFS system in their flash heads.

Q: 2. How well does this work when the camera is mounted on a bracket? I have the XproN but it will only fire in certain conditions.

A: It can work, but for brackets its better to use a TTL cable. Vello makes one for Nikon https://bhpho.to/31ny5hq.

Q: 3. Will this unit fire the SB-5000 speedlights? I have a Nikon 800e (yes, I can use the on camera flash to trigger them, but I am doing close up work with reflective surfaces and need to have no light coming from the camera.)

A: This will work perfectly with the SB-5000. You can set your 800e so that no light comes from the camera during the actual exposure. I have heard people say that light still comes from the camera during the exposure using the on-board flash, and, maybe on some work -- like close up work -- it's just not perfect. That's what I hear you saying. This is your answer.

Q: 4. Does it work with Nikon P1000?

A: According to Nikon USA, no, the Nikon SU-800 Wireless Speedlight Commander Unit is not compatible for use with the Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera. According to page 211-212 of the he Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera is only compatible for use with the Nikon SB-5000, SB-700, and SB-500 Speedlite Flashes. Furthermore, the Reference Manual for the Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera states that this camera does not support flash color information communication, Auto FP High-Speed Sync, FV lock, AF-assist illumination for multi-point AF, or the wireless lighting function when using Speedlights. As it does not support the wireless lighting function, the SU-800 would not be compatible with this camera.

Q: 5. Does this work as a shutter release as well as the flash trigger on a XT2?

A: Yes it will as long as you buy the unit for your camera brand, I use Canons and it works flawlessly. All version of the X1T work the same.

Q: 6. It appears Nissin is designing flashes strictly compliant to SONY standard. Does it mean this commander will be able to handle SONY flashes in TTL, HSS as well? Or it will be simply manual (at least without the need of an Air receiver)?

A: The Nissin Air10s Wireless TTL Commander for Sony Cameras is specifically designed for use with Nissin flashes with the letter A in their name, such as the Nissin Di700A Flash for Sony Cameras with Multi Interface Shoe, B&H # NIND700AS, and the Nissin i60A Flash for Sony Cameras, B&H # NIND60AS. If you wish to use your original Sony flashes with the Nissin system for off-camera wireless usage, you would need to purchase the Nissin Air R Receiver for Sony Flashes with Multi Interface Shoe, B&H # NINDARSNY, to connect to the bottom of the off-camera Sony flash. Sony's built-in wireless radio system on their newer flashes is proprietary and not compatible with Nissin's radio system, but the above receiver will allow you to use the Nissin Air10s with your Sony flashes.

Q: 7. Can this be triggered by a V1 or a 860iii flash unit on top of the camera or do i need a separate compatible transmitter?

A: Godox tt685, V860 and V1 can all be used as a transmitter to control a Godox X1R-C TTL Wireless Flash Receiver for Canon BH #GOX1RC.

Q: 8. I can't see the Manual adjustments power in the LCD of my Canon 580X made from my the Godox X Pro C. Am I missing something? Thanks for clarify on this. (I bought this receiver at B&H, as well the X Pro a month ago)

A: Non Godox flashes do not always display the power level. As long as the power adjusts based on the controllers settings you are good.

Q: 9. Will this work with the Canon EOS 1D X Mark 1?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. The YN685N specs say that it has 7 channels and 6 groups. However: 1. on mine only groups A,B andC are shown 2.the 622TX only shows groups A,B and C. How do I get access to control groups D and E?

A: You only have 6 groups and 16 channels when the flash is in 603 slave mode. Otherwise there are only 3 groups and 7 channels in all other modes that support groups/channels.
