The light beige Countryman E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and 3.5mm Locking Connector for Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom Portable Recorders is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom DM-420, DM-520, DM-620, DS-2400, DS-40, DS-51, DS-61, DS-71, LS-10, LS-14, R05, R09HR, PCM-D50, PCM-M10, DR-05, DR-07mkII, DR-08, PR-10, Pocketrak C24, Pocketrak W24, H1, H2, and H2n portable recorders.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any way of running a Aux signal?

A: The V-1SDI has two SDI outputs, one for Program and the other for Preview. They cannot be changed to an Aux input though for operations like sending out a clean signal or a specific isolated camera only.

Q: 2. Will this lens fit on my Olympus E-510?

A: Yes it does. I have a 510 with this lens and get great pictures with it.

Q: 3. Is it possible to run this unit from battery power?

A: This unit works with AC power. You could look in to a portable power pack with a standard US 110VAC Wall outlet.

Q: 4. is it compatable withe panasonic gh4

A: No, the Olympus 90-250mm f/2.8 ED Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens would not directly fit onto the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 MIrrorless Digital Camera. The camera has a Micro Four Thirds lens mount, while the lens has the larger (standard) Four Thirds lens mount. To use the lens on the camera, you would have to purchase the Olympus MMF-3 Four Thirds Lens to Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Adapter, B&H # OLMMF3.

Q: 5. Can I use the Ninja Atomos 2 with V-1HD?

A: Yes I just bought both and tested- works great! Don't forget to buy a solid state hard drive to put in the Ninja (2.5 ). Enjoy!

Q: 6. I have 3 Nikon DSLRs D800, D600, D700 and a Canon XA10 what do I need to connect these to work with the V-1HD. (to convert 720p60 to 1080p60 or convert 1080p30 to 1080p60). Or alternatively can I input 1080p60 from the switcher even when my inputs are 720p60?

A: With the Roland V-1, you must select one of these as your input signal: 1080i, 1080p, or 720p. Except for the D700 which is a stills only camera, all the camera's do 1920 x 1080P. Set that on the camera's plus the Roland and you are set.

Q: 7. What is the length of the tripod foot?

A: The foot on the lens collar is approximately 2.5 inches long.

Q: 8. Will this lense work on my Olympus E-5 camera? I have a 40-150mm basic lense and I need to upgrade to one that will film better under the lights at a football game with a lot of action shots.

A: Yes, the Olympus 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 lens for Olympus Digital Cameras is compatible with the Olympus E-5.

Q: 9. Will this work with the Vidiu Pro encoder?

A: Yes it will work. You will be able to output from the V-1HD through HDMI in to the Teradek VidiU Pro, B&H #TEVIDIUP.

Q: 10. Is this lens full compatible with the new Olympus omd em5 Mark II? Or does it need an adapter. Is it as good as the 12-40mm 2.8?

A: When I first bought my OMD EM1, in December 2013, I bought the 12-60. It's an ideal range (though I wish it had more tele.) It's a lens for the E series dSLR, with optical view finder and as such is quite large. It requires an adapter for the OMD series, but is otherwise fully compatible. At the time, it had sluggish auto focus, though I think a recent firmware update fixed the issue. That coupled with its size and the fact that it is no longer in production motivated me to send it back. Now, I'm carrying two bodies: one with the 12-40 f/2.8, which is stellar and another with the Lumix 35-100 f/2.8. Compared to the Nikons I used to own, this rig is smaller, lighter and a great combination for the style of shooting I do.I would highly recommend the 12-40 f/2.8.
