Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with my Nikon D5 ?

A: No, you need XQD cards. Or Compact Flash cards if thats the version of the D5 you bought. Read your camera's manual, it should tell you which one you need. But this is a CFast card and Nikon doesn't use them at all.

Q: 2. Does this work with the Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k?

A: Yes, these cards work with the Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K.

Q: 3. Have these been tested with the Ursa Mini 4k?

A: While we know of no reports of this combination, we have the opinion that there would not be any issue using these cards in that camera. ProGrade is made up of former executives of Lexar and SanDisk. The real advantage to their card is their excellent service and support. You can read more here: https://bit.ly/2Km0qw9

Q: 4. Is this card recommended for the Panasonic HC-X1?

A: Though these are UHS-II cards, they would still work quite well in your camera, you could also get away with: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1431034-REG/sandisk_sdsdxxy_128g_ancin_extremepro_sdxc_128gb_card.html

Q: 5. Tested with canon 1dx mark2?

A: While page 531 of the Canon EOS 1D X Mark II DSLR Camera's instruction manual indicates that Canon lists their standard testing for card speed using a CFast 2.0, 128GB memory card, Canon lists no specific brand card being tested with the camera. However, Canon does explicity state on page 5 of the instruction manual that the camera is compatible with CFast 2.0 memory cards, and as such, it should be compatible for use with the ProGrade Digital 256GB CFast 2.0 Memory Card. ProGrade also states the following on their website under their FAQ on their Support webpage: Does ProGrade Digital work directly with camera manufacturers? Yes. ProGrade Digital works closely with leading camera manufacturers including Canon, Nikon, ARRI and others. Can I be assured that ProGrade Digital memory cards are compatible with my cameras? Our compatibility testing labs include more than 1,000 cameras. We leverage years of experience working closely with professional DSLR and video camera manufacturers to ensure our cards pass rigorous qualification testing. This includes compliance with camera manufacturers requirements, and is supported by and compatible with specific camera models. While they do not specifically list the Canon EOS 1D X Mark II and no compatibility chart for all products are listed, the ProGrade Digital 256GB CFast 2.0 Memory Card should be compatible for use with the Canon EOS 1D X Mark II DSLR camera.

Q: 6. Will these CFast cards work with a Sony FS7?

A: I believe not. I think CFast Cards are a Canon thing only.

Q: 7. Will this work with a Leica M?

A: The ProGrade Digital 160GB CFexpress Type A Cobalt Memory Card is not compatible with the Leica M cameras. You need to use SD cards.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with BMPCC4K ?

A: Hi Ekarat, Yes the ProGrade Digital CFast cards are compatible with the Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4K. We have tested the camera in our lab and Black Magic has tested it as well. ProGrade Digital cards are listed on the Black Magic site in the list of recommended cards. Thanks, - ProGrade Digital

Q: 9. Any word yet on if these will drop frames for any formats on the new BMPCC6K?

A: We’ve been using these cards for 2 months and all good shooting 4K on a canon mark iv. The case seems a bit week so just be gentle with them. Not sure if they are all like that.

Q: 10. Hi there. Min write speed of 130Mb/s. Does this mean we cannot use it to record ProRes422 at 78Mb/s for example? Need one card to record ALL different formats from Raw to ProRes422LT. Thx

A: This will easily handle 78 Mb/s. You only need to worry when you're writing too much data. I'm using on a C300 ii with 4K files @ 400 mb/s and works like a charm. These cards are rated at 550 MB/s (1 MegaByte = 8 megabits, so that's technically capable of peak write speeds north of 4 Gb/s write speeds).
