A: Generally speaking, an HDMI signal is not strong and weakens exponentially with distance traveled. I would blame the distance and the type of HDMI cable before any switcher. At the time, it had sluggish auto focus, though I think a recent firmware update fixed the issue. That coupled with its size and the fact that it is no longer in production motivated me to send it back. Now, I'm carrying two bodies: one with the 12-40 f/2.8, which is stellar and another with the Lumix 35-100 f/2.8.
