Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this tripod compatible with a nikon d610?

A: Should work with any camera with a standard tripod bushing

Q: 2. does the ball head allow for vertical placement of camera as well as horizontal? also, is the sturdy enough for a Canon 6D?

A: Yes, you will be able to shoot vertically with the Oben AC-1441 and BA-111 ball head. This tripod supports up to 11 pounds worth of gear, which will be plenty sturdy for the Canon 6D and a vast array of lenses.

Q: 3. Can you recommend a lightweight, fairly inexpensive fluid head tripod for shooting video with dslr camera?? thanks!

A: The Benro S4 Video Head is a great choice for a fluid head that will be lightweight (1.5 pounds) and provide excellent value: http://bhpho.to/1bLlpTd

Q: 4. Would this be able to hold a Canon 6D with 24-105mm?

A: Easily, i use this tripod for that kit combo constantly with very good results.

Q: 5. Is this tripod good for long exposures?

A: Yes, tripods in general will reduce the amount of camera movement, regardless of the length of the exposure. Particularly during a long exposure, a tripod is a necessity. Whether this tripod is right for you depends on the type of camera and how you expect to use the tripod. I wouldn't load it to the maximum weight, if your camera and lens are say under 3-4 pounds, this tripod should be sufficient. Also remember that carbon fiber is better at dampening movement (no matter the tripod, there will still be some small amount of movement from air movement), although it's much more expensive. You'll never be disappointed by going with a tripod that is bigger than you think you need. Buy one that will last you for a long time. I have an Induro CT 214 which has a max capacity of 26 pounds for a Nikon D800 with a 300mm f4 Nikkor lens and I really wish that I had gone with a bigger set of legs. Also if you want good results, make sure that you use a remote release on your shutter.

Q: 6. Can the tripod be adjusted to use for dslr film scanning?

A: This tripod does not have a lateral column which can be used for copy filming with a DSLR. The Vanguard Alta Pro 2+ 263AB100 Aluminum-Alloy Tripod Kit with Alta BH-100 Ball Head, BH # VAAP2263AB10 does offer this option. http://bhpho.to/36dO1rH

Q: 7. is this tripod head and body compatible with the rhino evo carbon slider?

A: This will work with the head removed and placed on the top of the slider if you are using the 24 model.

Q: 8. Can this tripod be used with a Canon EOS 3i?

A: Yes it can be used with all canon products I use it in a 4ti and 7d and 7dmkii. Enjoy!!

Q: 9. Can the rubber feet be replaced with retractable spike feet?

A: I tried to get the feet off and had no luck without getting tools out and forcing it which I did not want to do. I could not tell if the feet screwed in or not. You would have to have some very specific replacement feet.

Q: 10. Hi , is this tripod compatible with all canon dslrs?

A: I use it for both my 7D and my sx50. It should be a universal mount.
