A: The VT4000 fluid head is a 65mm bowl mount head. Of course, this can be removed from the tripod legs to reveal a 65mm bowl mount for other heads, but it can not be separated to reveal a flat base with 3/8 -16 thread unfortunately.

A: The Magnus VT 4000 tripod should be able to handle your camera. But 3CCD cameras come in all different weights and sizes. This tripod can handle 8.8 lbs (4kg). So if your camera is this weight or lower, I'd say that this camera would work fine for you.
