The cocoa Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic, Low Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm locking Connector for Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom Portable Recorders is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom DM-420, DM-520, DM-620, DS-2400, DS-40, DS-51, DS-61, DS-71, LS-10, LS-14, R05, R09HR, PCM-D50, PCM-M10, DR-05, DR-07mkII, DR-08, PR-10, Pocketrak C24, Pocketrak W24, H1, H2, and H2n portable recorders.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this unit store or save a logo frame?

A: While this is a very nice switcher, it does not have the ability to store a logo or frame. However it does have Down Stream Keying capabilities if you wanted to use one of the inputs as a source for graphics and logos.

Q: 2. Does anyone have overheating issue on this unit? Mine having lag / freeze / stuck problem here.

A: We recently spoke with Roland and they said that the returns due to defects have been minimal. I can attest that they are well made products. I will have to suggest that if you are out of the B&H 30 day return period that you contact Roland for service. Please see the following link. http://bit.ly/2oJIjGt

Q: 3. Do the sdi outputs contain embedded audio? Saw somewhere they did not but roland was aware. Just wondering if they fixed the issue

A: SDI always contains embedded audio. This Roland switcher would have embedded audio in it's SDI.

Q: 4. Can I daisy chain 2 units? (The 8 input version of this doesn't have MIDI)

A: You could take the output from one unit and input it to another unit. That would effectively give you 7 HDMI inputs. The unit that has another switch connected to it would have 3 inputs with its own signal then the 4th input would have 4 HDMI inputs from the other switcher, for a total of 7 sources.

Q: 5. Can this switcher store a logo?

A: No, as there is no usb memory port

Q: 6. What latency does this product incur? If I used a live camera to screen or played a video to screen on a conference, would the vision be in sync to microphones? or as close as. I can't see the latency on the specs. Thanks

A: Normal switching there is no lag, but you can add delay if needed to the audio on this switcher so that it lines up with any video that may be delayed by projectors, etc. The menus are really comprehensive and there are one or two great longer in depth videos on youtube on this switcher that go into it in a bit more detail including one that touches on the ability to add delay to audio if needed.

Q: 7. Can our company use this switcher for gotomeeting / webex etc? We'd like to connect up to 4 cameras for company meetings.

A: Yes, you will be able to use the Roland V-1HD for GoToMeeting, Webex, and other 3rd party conferencing programs.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Vidiu Pro encoder?

A: Yes it will work. You will be able to output from the V-1HD through HDMI in to the Teradek VidiU Pro, B&H #TEVIDIUP.

Q: 9. Will the V-1 accept SD Pal Cameras, conected to a converter like this https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1037093-REG/ocean_matrix_omx_cv_hdmi_video_to_hdmi_pro.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1037093-REG/ocean_matrix_omx_cv_hdmi_video_to_hdmi_pro.html/a ?

A: The basic fact of a switcher is that once the frame rate is set, all input signals must be the same frame rate. Thus it is very SOP (standard operating procedure) to use converters such as the Ocean Matrix Video to HDMI Pro Mini Converter/Scaler to make a source confirm to the switcher. Since we have not tested this combination, we can only give the opinion we do not see any reason it will not work as desired.

Q: 10. Does this unit output 23.97fps or 29.97 fps at 1080p ?

A: Sorry this unit only supports 50/59.94. You would have to do a signal conversion from those frame rates.

I have mostly used the lens for portrait work and some macro shots. This lens is an amazing performer as everything is sharp from edge to edge. It hasn't left my camera much since I bought it. My only complaint is that it does hunt a bit while focusing in low light and I wish it had a focus limiter, but for the money this is a stellar lens.

Good lens. Easy to use, very fast and sharp. Somewhat heavy but not a big burden even on a hiking trip. Good upgrade from the 40-150 mm lens provided in the kit.

A lens that is compact, light, and does what it is designed to do - well. And it doesn't break the bank! What more can I say - recommended

There are many instances where natural light is more realistic and sometimes more dramatic than any artificial source. This is the lens to use for those situations. It produces very sharp images, and fast autofocus. The constant F 2.0 aperture allows an exceptional range of creative freedom. It has become my favorite lens. It is heavy and the built-in flash causes a lens shadow.

A great addition to my camera bag. I use the 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 ED SWD Zuiko Zoom Lens with my E-510. The lens is always attached and my camera kept at arms length. I most recently used the lens to photograph a NASCAR race and fireworks and the camera/lens combination is versatile enough to handle both. So far I'm very pleased.

I use this lens for photographing common birds and other animals. It's just enough long for this purpose when used it with EC-14 teleconverter. Great picture quality and focusing performance. Maximum apperture of this lens would be little bigger on maximum zoom (200mm). 3.5 + 1 stop (283mm F4.9) is't sometimes enough. Great lens and gives lot of value for it's price.
