The beige E6 Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain, with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3-Pin XLRM Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one-tenth ounce. It can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 Earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers forget they're wearing a mic. Three sensitivity options cover general speaking to extremely powerful vocals and four color options allow you to match the E6 to your skin tone for minimum visibility.

In addition, the E6 Earset features a pattern-changeable directional microphone for maximum isolation and gain before feedback, but is available as a water- and wind-resistant omnidirectional microphone too. This directional E6 Earset's cable terminates to a 3-pin XLRM connector for direct connection to an Lectrosonics HM, UH200d, UH400, or UH400a wireless bodypack transmitter.

The Countryman E6 head-worn Earset is small and lightweight, and is hardly visible from a distance.

The E6 Earset's stainless steel boom is built tough and can be bent and re-bent many times to fit different performers. The E6 is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps.

The flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face and is available in multiple skin tones. Their protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones; caps for the directional earset adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid. Choose a sensitivity for speaking or singing with up to 145 dB SPL capability.

The E6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion and an SPL of up to 145 dB. It delivers rich, full band audio quality.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a position for rejecting unwanted sounds. Countryman's omnidirectional Earset offers a reduction of 12 dB compared to a lavalier mic, while the directional E6 Earset provides even more isolation. Excellent for houses of worship, theater, and outdoor events.

An E6 replacement cable installs in seconds. The snap-on cables are rugged and available for almost any wireless transmitter or for XLR inputs with phantom power.

For speaking and vocals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How well does this work when the camera is mounted on a bracket? I have the XproN but it will only fire in certain conditions.

A: It can work, but for brackets its better to use a TTL cable. Vello makes one for Nikon https://bhpho.to/31ny5hq.

Q: 2. Will the SU-800 work with the SB-500? It is not listed.

A: According to the manual for the SB-500, the SU-800 can be used as a commander to fire it.

Q: 3. with these triggers can I use the DGbees 800 and the alienbee 1600?

A: Yes this trigger set can work with Paul C. Buff mononlights.

Q: 4. Is Canon Premium Fine Art Smooth paper compatible with the iP8720? 310 GSM, 16.5 MIL

A: Canon does not list its PIXMA iP8720 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer (B&H# CAIP8720) as being compatible with its Canon Premium Fine Art Smooth Paper (13 x 19", 25 Sheets) (B&H# CA1711C004), nor vice versa. To be clear, Canon officially gives a listing of the Canon papers that will work with this printer (see p.195 of the manual) and the one you asked about is clearly excluded. Notably, it’s 50 gsm heavier than the heaviest of them. Speaking generally, in such a situation, even if such especially heavy and thick paper does make it through a printer (which is likely in this case), it can happen that the springs used to give the rollers the right amount of tension to grip the paper may be overly compressed by the paper’s weight and thickness. The consequence of that excessive compression can be that the tension is reduced and so the rollers subsequently have difficulty gripping thinner papers. There are also cases in which a printer’s print head may even experience too much friction with overly thick papers and thus the prints come out poorly, if at all. Having said all of that, there's no question that the paper itself would do well with the ink, and if you use individual, flat, and unbent sheets of such paper in the top-rear feed then you will get the best result possible. For all the reasons mentioned, we just cannot endorse doing that.

Q: 5. Does this trigger have focus assist?

A: Yes this transmitter has focus assist.

Q: 6. Can I use this for Olympus OME-EM1 II with Godox TT-600? Or Do you recommend the other model?

A: Its comparable for Nikon/Godox flashes

Q: 7. Which zoom range dies the YN685 have on a cropped sensor camera?

A: The YN685 detects when it is connected to a crop sensor camera and appears to track the effective lens focal length while displaying the lens's stated focal length (which is pretty much standard industry practice). Due to the fact that the strobe's native zoom range is 20 to 200 mm, it's ability to track a zoom lens runs out of range at 200 / crop factor (125 mm on Canon's 1.6x crop sensors and 133 mm on Nikon or other 1.5x crop sensors). Once you hit the end of the strobe's zoom range, you'll get light fall off as the beam width exceeds the lens's viewing angle but, fact is, most uses for speedlites with long lenses put the strobes on stands anyway so the zoom tracking issue is moot. Were you to camera mount the flash with, say, a 70 - 200 mm zoom, the YN685 will track out to it's maximum and then run wide as mentioned before.BTW, I have two of these units that I use interchangeably on two full frame and one crop-sensor body. They have been great.

Q: 8. Can Godox X1T-C Transmitter trigger Yongnuo YN600 RT and/or YN600RTII? Iask this since Yongnuo flashes behave exactly like if they were identical to Canon similar flashes in Canon EOS 6D.

A: You need a YN-E3-RT https://bhpho.to/2L6T2tf for the YN600RT.

Q: 9. Will the pop-up flash still pop up ( I hope that makes sense) when I use the YN685 ON camera? Not as a trigger but if I have the flash on the D7100 will my pop-up flash still come up? I have a Canon 7D and it does not on that one. I prefer the extra lighting when shooting at night. It is strictly a personal preference.

A: I agree with the last response, it will not fire. It is a powerful flash and should be fine in most night situations.

Q: 10. exposure compensation on YN685 Yongnuo?

A: The YN685 allows up to 3 full stops of positive or negative exposure compensation via controls on the back of the unit.
