The cocoa Countryman E6X Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Low Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and TA4F Connector for Paso Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6X earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Paso MW223 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Just received the YN 685 Flash. Mine has a lot of grease at the pivot joint (where the flash head totates). Is that normal? Is it supposed to have grease there?

A: The one I recieved doesn't have grease there. I don't know if it's supposed to or not. That doesn't sound normal but I can't say for sure. As far as performance, the YN 685 is a great flash for the price. If the grease issue is a significant problem I would contact B&H, they have great customer service.

Q: 2. Will this transmitter be compatible with non-Godox flashes? (Yongnuo, Nikon, Bolt)

A: While Godox only guarantees full compatibility with Godox flashes and Nikon i-TTL flashes, if the third-party flash you own or are considering purchasing use Nikon's i-TTL automatic flash system, it should also be compatible with the Godox X1T-N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter for Nikon. If it is a non-Nikon i-TTL flash, then you would have to set the flash output manually on the flash, as it will not automatically be set or controlled by the Godox transmitter. You will need the Godox X1R-N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Receiver for Nikon, B&H # GOX1RN, for the off-camera flashes as the wireless receiver, and the Godox X1T-N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter for Nikon on the camera as the wirelesss transmitter

Q: 3. Is it compatible with Nikon Df?

A: It should. The specs for the Df show that it supports Nikon iTTL flash and I noticed that Nikon Speed lights are recommended accessories. So the YN685 should be compatible.

Q: 4. Can I trigger theX1R-N on an SB910 with the X2T-N trigger on my D4 ?

A: Yes, the following two systems will communicate with your flash system.

Q: 5. Will this be compatible with both Nissin Di700A and i60A for MFT?

A: Yes it will once released. There are some advanced features on the new Air 10s that are designed for future flashes so some of the features will not work, but you will be able to get some additional features by using the Air 10s.

Q: 6. I have a canon eos sl3. This camera doesn't have the center contact for it to work with normal strobe syncs. If I get this, would it work fine and would I need to get a reserve as well?

A: This X1T-C would already have the current firmware in order to be compatible with the Canon EOS SL3. As for getting a reserve X1T-C unit, that would be a wise decision in case the primary unit fails during use.

Q: 7. Will this work on a Nikon SB800 Speedlight set on manual exposure or does it have to be set on TTL?

A: Nikon flash usually require being set to TTL.

Q: 8. Which zoom range dies the YN685 have on a cropped sensor camera?

A: The YN685 detects when it is connected to a crop sensor camera and appears to track the effective lens focal length while displaying the lens's stated focal length (which is pretty much standard industry practice). Due to the fact that the strobe's native zoom range is 20 to 200 mm, it's ability to track a zoom lens runs out of range at 200 / crop factor (125 mm on Canon's 1.6x crop sensors and 133 mm on Nikon or other 1.5x crop sensors). Once you hit the end of the strobe's zoom range, you'll get light fall off as the beam width exceeds the lens's viewing angle but, fact is, most uses for speedlites with long lenses put the strobes on stands anyway so the zoom tracking issue is moot. Were you to camera mount the flash with, say, a 70 - 200 mm zoom, the YN685 will track out to it's maximum and then run wide as mentioned before.BTW, I have two of these units that I use interchangeably on two full frame and one crop-sensor body. They have been great.

Q: 9. Will this allow me to use my Speedlite 470ex-ai wirelessly one my softbox off camera?

A: Yes this will allow you to use a Canon 470EX-AI off camera.

Q: 10. How different is it from Broncolor RFS 2.2 N Transceiver for Nikon?

A: This transmitter can only fire the Godox shoe mount flash and monolights which have their X series receiver built into it or with an X1R receiver attached to it. The Broncolor RFS 2.2N only works on the frequency of the Broncolor RFS system in their flash heads.
