The tan E6i (2.5mm Stereo) from Countryman is a miniature, omnidirectional, earset condenser microphone designed for accurate voice reproduction (speaking and singing) and near-invisible appearance in theater, concerts, lectures, houses or worship, and more. It features a water- and wind-resistant capsule that delivers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions and should be used when feedback is not common.

The 5’ detachable cable has a diameter of 2mm, and features a 2.5mm connector for compatibility with Samson transmitters. The E6i offers a flexible boom for versatile placement. The three protective caps yield different high-end frequency presence. The supplied windscreen protects the condenser element, and reduces plosives and wind noise. Cable clips and a carrying case are included.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear section. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin. For more information on which color earset suits you best, refer to the Countryman support page.

The included 2mm diameter cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture both speech and vocal performances without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this camera have an electronic shutter? And does it have Bulb mode in electronic shutter? and what is the shutter speeds for the electronic shutter?

A: Yes. Unit offers a fully electronic shutter.

Q: 2. I am trying to connect a7iv to a mixpre 3 ii? what is the best way to do this to record onto both camera and mixpre sd card?

A: The Sound Devices MixPre-3 II 3-Channel / 5-Track Multitrack 32-Bit Field Recorder has a 3.5mm Stereo Out connection, which could be used to make a hardwired connection to the 3.5mm input on the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera via a standard, stereo 3.5mm cable. Alternatively, with the appropriate cable, this same output connection could feed a wireless transmitter typically used for lavaliers while the correlating receiver mounts onto the camera, receives signal from the transmitter, and inputs it into the camera for a "wireless camera send".

Q: 3. Does this camera have clear image zoom for 4k video?

A: Sony's "Clear Image" digital zoom is available at 2x magnification, standard digital zoom up to 4x, and "Smart Zoom" is available where the camera just crops away the unused portion of the image when a lower resolution is selected.

Q: 4. What is included in the box? Camera... 1x battery? Cable type? Charger type? 2x Strap rings? Strap?

A: In the Box Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera Sony NP-FZ100 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (2280mAh) AC Adapter and Power Cord Sony ALC-B1EM Body Cap for E-Mount Cameras Shoulder Strap Accessory Shoe Cap Eyepiece Cup USB Type-C to Type-A Cable Limited 1-Year Warranty

A: At this point in time, there aren't any alternative options for kit lenses with the Sony A7IV. However, do check back with us at a later date, as we usually provide different kit options once the camera has fully released.

Q: 7. Looking for the best wide angle for this camera that is full frame? I liked the 10-20mm f/4 lens but it's APS-C and I would also like to throw it on my fx3 or fx6 also.

A: For autofocus lens recommendations, the Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM Lens, B&H # SO1418GM, and the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E, B&H # SI1418SO, would be the widest rectilinear full-frame fixed lens for the Sony Alpha a7 IV Mirrorless Digital Camera. For a zoom lens, the Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM Lens, B&H # SO122428GM, or the Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G Lens, B&H # SO12244G, would be good options. If you do not mind focusing manually, the Venus Optics Laowa 9mm f/5.6 FF RL Lens for Sony E, B&H # VE956FE, would be the widest rectilinear full-frame fixed focal length lens, and the Venus Optics Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 Zoom Lens for Sony E, B&H # VE1018FE, would be the widest full-frame zoom lens for use on the Sony Alpha a7 IV Mirrorless Digital Camera.
