The light beige Countryman E6i Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm Connector for Comtek Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm connector for direct connection to Comtek M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. If using a Rosco Polarizing #7300 Filter (17 x 20" Sheet) with this light, how do you suggest I affix the gel (frame? clips? tape?)

A: with gaff tape a little bowed out like a U

Q: 2. Hi,do you believe it would be usefull to buy the Elinchrom HS skyport as a complement to the Sekonic 478dr ? As all I see is the High speed sync feature that the skyport would provide. Other than that I believe they have more or less the same functionality. Thanks

A: Yes, you should decide whether you need hi speed sync or not. For that it's wonderful. You really don't need the HS if not. However if you use the regular Skyport now the HS is so much nicer.

Q: 3. How well will this work with the Indra 500

A: It does a fine job. You must set the Indra to receive Strato II signals. It would be best to use a Strato II Transmitter as it has ABCD groups. But you could also use an Odin Transmitter which has ABC groups. There is no power control as the Phottix system is not set up to allow it.

Q: 4. Can I use it wth other Flash units in the same as the non Eilenchrom version? In case I want to add Eilenchrom lighting later.

A: I'm sorry, but I don't know. I don't have the Elinchrome verson.

Q: 5. I want to get two small lights and use them to light my 9 by 7 foot green screen (not me and the screen, only the screen), and other things like taking pictures of coins, jewelry, etc. Would two of these work? Would two of 60x work? Buyiing light panel that is 30 or more inches long is too clumsy to move around a lot. So a smaller light would be ideal.

A: It would depend on how even you want them, but they would need a pretty fair amount of distance to get enough spread for a 9x7 background.

Q: 6. Would it run off a 12V power cord (attached to a car battery) for field work?

A: We believe that should work if you have the proper adapter, however we are not aware of any specific tests between the two.

Q: 7. Does this new version still have the 1/4 20 threaded mounting hole at the bottom?

A: Yes it does. I had it mounted on a flexible DSLR tripod and it held nicely.

Q: 8. How soft and diffused is the light? Would it work ok for portraits at dusk?

A: The light is a medium soft but gets a little softer as it gets closer to the subject. The wand has a diffused, translucent cover but can also be diffused even more with a diffused material if you are looking for a very soft look. It should look nice for a disk portrait with the blue LED bulbs reduced a bit.

Q: 9. Is this meter compatible with radio poppers?

A: This is compatible with radio poppers, it requires the pocketwizard tranceivers but it can be done. Read the article on Wireless Flash Power Control in the article attached. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/news/new-sekonic-litemaster-pro-l-478d-and-l-478dr-light-meters

Q: 10. Does this have a screw mont at the bottom for light stand attachment?

A: Yes, the Yongnuo YN360III PRO offers a female 1/4 opening.
