The light beige Countryman E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm Locking Connector for Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom Portable Recorders is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.
The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.
The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom DM-420, DM-520, DM-620, DS-2400, DS-40, DS-51, DS-61, DS-71, LS-10, LS-14, R05, R09HR, PCM-D50, PCM-M10, DR-05, DR-07mkII, DR-08, PR-10, Pocketrak C24, Pocketrak W24, H1, H2, and H2n portable recorders.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.
The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.
The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.
The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)
Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.
The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. I know the preview screen has a split screen mode, but does the output as well? As in can I switch from showing one source, to all 4 at once if I wanted?
A: The Preview Output can be set as a Multi-View window which allows you to see all 4 of your sources. You cannot do the same for all 4 HDMI signals through its program out I'm afraid. However this unit does allow you to output 2 sources through its Picture-in-Picture and Split Screen Modes.
Q: 2. Hi there. Wondering if anyone has successfully used an iPad for the 4 channel preview output? My assumption is that this is possible and would just need a conversion from the HDMI preview output to an iPad. Would be great to use an iPad to preview all 4 channels as opposed to a monitor for a more compact setup. Thanks.
A: I would doubt that this would be possible, especially with the closed framework of Apple with the iPad as it usually cannot be setup as a monitor. I purchased a small 8 monitor for my compact setup and that works great.
Q: 3. What's the best way to use this unit with 2 cameras coming in, with a computer input that will be running a PowerPoint presentation? Will this switcher scale the incoming computer signal? Thanks in advance!
A: This product has two dedicated 3G SDI inputs, a third channel input that supports 3G SDI or HDMI and a fourth channel HDMI input that also includes scaling. Depending on the outputs your camera offer you can have both of them going into the SDI inputs or have one use the SDI input and one using the HDMI input ( third channel ).
Q: 4. I'm in CANADA Toronto. Do you have a store?
A: Hello there, we do have a store, located in New York City. We also ship all around the world and would be happy to assist you with questions about this product or any others you may be interested in. You could give B&H a call at 1-800.606.6969. Thank you for your interest!
Q: 5. How to add Graphic Overlay?
A: The Roland V-1HD has graphics keying capabilities. You could bring in a source with graphics in to one of the 4 HDMI inputs. Datavideo offers the TC-200 & CG-200 HD/SD Character Generator Kit, B&H #DATC200, which can be connected through HDMI. You could also look at connecting a computer or tablet for keying with this unit.
Q: 6. Is there a PAL version of this switch? If so, could I still use a NTSC based camera as an input?
A: Sadly I have no idea, but I love the switcher.
Q: 7. Do the sdi outputs contain embedded audio? Saw somewhere they did not but roland was aware. Just wondering if they fixed the issue
A: SDI always contains embedded audio. This Roland switcher would have embedded audio in it's SDI.
Q: 8. Does the v-1sdi have a still store or a way to go to a screen captured logo like the v-800 hd?
A: Geir is correct. There is no still store in addition to your 4 inputs. But if you can spare an input you can load a slide there and freeze that input while still switching between others. That being said, if you do this you cant use the freeze option on any other inputs as it will only freeze a single input at a time and pressing the button again will release your frozen slide.
Q: 9. Please, how do you do the live titles as DSK? I really would be glad to know. Thank you.
A: I am new to the product but I layout my graphics in Photoshop with a green background. So, my lower thirds are all designed on top of a green layer (1920 x 1080). I export the graphic out as a .jpg. So, I would have my laptop as source, and the other sources are cameras. I apply the key effect on the graphic/laptop imagery (displayed in fullscreen on laptop).
Q: 10. how to buy product without pay pal. I just have visa and master card.
A: We accept Visa and Mastercard Credit Cards on our website. You could be able to pay with either card.
