The light beige Countryman E6i Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm Connector for Amplivox Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.
The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.
The low-profile, directional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm connector for direct connection to Amplivox S-1600T and S-1690T wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.
The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.
The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.
The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.
Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.
The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. What is the difference between L 858 d-u and L 858 d?
A: L-858D-U is the US version, the d-u is the international version and the difference would be in the frequency at which they opperate.
Q: 2. Does it use a battery?
A: The Aputure LS 60x Bi-Color LED Focusing Flood Light BH #APLS60X comes with an AC cable. You can also use it with optional NP-F or V-mount batteries.
Q: 3. Does B&H have a DC adapter for this light and how much is it?
A: For DC adapter cables, something like this Camlast C6 should work: https://bhpho.to/3cqzycT - and then there are AC adapter options as follows: https://bhpho.to/3dsR6VY https://bhpho.to/2Li4YGi
Q: 4. am from Asia 7 use PocketWizrd and Elinchrome ; can i also use this L-858D with the Sekonic RT-3PW Transmitter Module (433MHz, CE)?
A: Sekonic L-858D-U Speedmaster Light Meter Kit with Transmitter Module for Elinchrom & Phottix can be used in Asia as long as the triggers are also from the US.
Q: 5. Does this have a t-stop mode? When working with cinema lenses that use t stops instead of f stops, how can I use this light meter?
A: F/stops are arithmetically calculated based on the lenses physical size. The amount of light coming through the lens is therefore theoretical. This means two different lenses at f/5.6 could be passing different amounts of light. In the days of movie making film, this caused a great deal of problems for movie printmaking where the density of the image would vary greatly between shots. This would take extra time, effort and money to get a consistent print. To eliminate this problem, the 20th Century Fox camera department in the 1930's developed the T or Transmission stop. What they did is measure the amount of light coming through the lens and then set that as the T/stop. Since glass absorbs light, there is a light loss compared to f/stops. All this to say, there are no T/stop meters; they are all f/stop. Just read the meter, set that number on the T/stop ring and enjoy a consistent, lens to lens, exposure.
Q: 6. Are there any filmmaking features from the 758Cine that aren't found in the 858?
A: Short answer: No. Longer answer: the L-858D has more features and user adaptability than any meter ever created. That is because it is a computer with meter functions and has a display screen that is built on the fly. I do love my 758 but the fixed LCD display simply cannot display all the elements that a color dot matrix screen can. For Cine, the 758 and 858 both have an expanded frame rate and shutter angles. However, the 858 lets you create your own frame rates and shutter angles useful when encountering some weird discontinuous lighting that would flicker with common frame rates. Or for a special slow or fast visual. The 858 has a whole filter biasing system in it. This started in the 758 Cine. Greatly expanded with the 858 and it lets you enter your own filter factors and name them. I have both the 758 and 858 ( work on the instruction manuals) and will keep and use them both. I like what the 758 does for exposure decisions for landscape photography. For almost everything else, the 858 is starting to be my favorite. The radio triggering feature for studio lights (spell that Elinchrom) is worth the price of admission. Hope that helps.
Q: 7. Does the screen light up for night use ?? If so, for how long ?? Jim
A: Yes and can be set for 20-60 seconds.
Q: 8. Does any light meter take into account an APS-C sensor in its readings?
A: No, it does not. A sensor's crop factor has no effect or bearing on the exposure of the image.
Q: 9. I have soft boxes with Bowen's mount rings. Can these be used with these light?
A: No. The following system will only adapt to the following speed rings. Angler Speed Ring for Angler Shadow Focus Spot BH #AN7464SFS • MFR #7464-SFS https://bhpho.to/3plAuHp
Q: 10. Does the power supply work with 220v?
A: Yes the SmallRig RC 220B COB is multivoltage and can be used on 220VAC. You will just need a plug end adapter. It ships with a North American plug.
