The light beige Countryman E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and TA3F Connector for Audix Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6 earset's cable terminates to a TA3F connector for direct connection to Audix RAD360-BP wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. Does this have a filtration compensation mode?

A: The meter does have a filter compensation mode for exposure only. Click on the link below and see page 127 of the manual for the details of this function. https://static.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/474654.pdf

Q: 2. will the radio module for the 758 work with with 858?

A: The L-858U requires the Sekonic RT-20PW PocketWizard Transmitter Module, B&H # SERT20PW. https://bhpho.to/2MpvqPn

Q: 3. Are there any issues using this with a fresnel? The Amaran 200x has rows of cool and warm LEDs, so using a fresnel with that light is problematic. The SmallRig 220b seems to have similar rows of LEDs.

A: No. The following system does not adapt to any fresnel system.

Q: 4. What is the different between sekonic 858d and 858d u ?

A: Like the L-758DR before it, the L-858d has a radio antenna incorporated into to the body design that operates with PocketWizard products that are designed for USA operation. Internet resellers have caused meters designed for World operation with different antenna specifications to be sold in the USA as well as some USA product to be sold to customers outside the USA. Both resulting in products that do now work properly for our customers. Also, the local distributor is responsible for any warranty repair. So, if a meter designed for Europe is sold in the USA, warranty repair is available in the European country it was designed for. Sekonic worked several years to make sure you get the meter that is designed for the technology in your area. The U classification designates a meter designed for the USA. The box it comes in is also exclusive in appearance. And the USA distributor offers a 2 year extension of the warranty for a total of 3 years which is longer than any other market. All operation is otherwise the same. BTW, really nice meter.

Q: 7. Does this work with profoto lights?

A: Yes, the Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D-U Light Meter will work with any lights.

Q: 8. Does the power supply work with 220v?

A: Yes the SmallRig RC 220B COB is multivoltage and can be used on 220VAC. You will just need a plug end adapter. It ships with a North American plug.

Q: 9. I have an LS60x and I want another one that’s brighter. Bi-color and focusing, but more watts.

Q: 10. Is there transmitter Module for Profoto?
