The light beige Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Low Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and 4-pin Hirose Connector for Sony Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.
The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.
The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Sony DWT-B01, DWT-G01, DWT-S01, and DWT-V01 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.
The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.
The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.
The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)
Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.
The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. If I set my a6000 for a 10 second delay, will this wireless remote shutter over-ride the camera shutter delay, or open the shutter at 10 seconds?
A: I use it on a Nikon D5600, it does not over the camera's settings. This is a great product.
Q: 2. Does this work for Olympus OMD EM-10?
A: I received a Olympus cable for the FreeWave, probably accidentally on my part, as I have a Pentax. However, I have had several Freeways. For Canon and Pentax, they woork quite nicely. I have had two with the same frequency, which worked extremely well for triggering two cameras with different lenses and settings, mainly fireworks.
Q: 3. Can I use non Sony (e.g., Nikon) flash with this?
A: As indicated under the Overview for the Sony FA-WRC1M Wireless Radio Commander with FA-WRR1 Wireless Radio Receiver Kit, it is compatible for use with the following Sony Multi-Interface hot shoe flashes:Compatible FlashesHVL-F32MHVL-F43MHVL-F60MHVL-F42AM (manual only, requires ADP-MAA Shoe Adapter)HVL-F43AM (manual only, requires ADP-MAA Shoe Adapter)HVL-F58AM (manual only, requires ADP-MAA Shoe Adapter)As Nikon flashes do not have the extra pin design on the front of the hot shoe as does Sony's Multi-Interface flashes, there would be no extra communication for adjusting output power, zoom, exposure compensation, HSS, etc. If you use a Nikon flash on the above remote, the flash would have to be set to full Manual mode, and you would have to preset the flash output manually on the Nikon flash.
Q: 4. Will this product work with the new Nikon D5600?
A: I use it with a D7200. It should work fine with the D5600, they have the same DC2 connector and that's what the Nikon Corded Release uses.
Q: 5. I have a Canon Ti5 that I use for video. Can I use this to start/stop recording on multiple cameras with multiple receivers? Thanks!
A: Unfortunately no, this remote cannot start or stop video on the T5i. You can use this Canon remote instead:http://bhpho.to/1jwfhVV
Q: 6. What type of batteries does the units use?
A: While the transmitter comes with a 23A 12V battery in it (have to unscrew it to change the battery), receiver uses a CR2 3V battery(we can find it in the box).
Q: 7. Will this work with A55
A: Yes, the Vello FreeWave Wireless Remote Shutter Release for Sony Alpha Cameras would be compatible for use with the Sony Alpha DSLR-SLT-A55 Digital Camera as indicated under the Compatible Cameras section under the Overview on our website.
