The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a 3-pin LEMO connector for use with Sennheiser wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can someone with experience with both tell me how this head compares with the Sachtler FSB-6 head (not in specs, but actual use and performance)?

A: The biggest benefit on the Manfrotto head is the price to features value. Considering that the Nitrotech comes in at virtually one third of the price of the Sachtler, of course, if budgetary considerations are a primary factor, then the Manfrotto model makes perfect sense and is a very respectable option. Having said that, there are some "real life" comparisons out there in the forums world that would be very beneficial to consider, since as a impartial observers we can only comment on the obvious specs, as listed by each manufacturer, which is not the original intent of this inquiry.

Q: 2. Will this still work if my camera weighs slightly under 4kg? Sometimes my rig weighs around 2.5 - 3.5kg

A: It will not. The load needs to be between 8.8 to 26.4 lb / 4 to 12 kg for the camera to properly balance. The only way you'd be able to use the head would be with it locked down, making it so you cannot pan and tilt for a shot.

Q: 3. Can the quick release hold the plate used in Peak Design's Capture? It is an arca style 1.5in/3.8cm square.

A: The Peak Design Capture Camera Quick Release Plate is compatible with the Oben VH-A30 Tilt Head for Monopods.

Q: 4. Will this work for the AD 360II?

A: This charger is not compatible with the Godox AD360 II

Q: 5. What is the base diameter of the P0?

A: I measured mine at 2.125 inches or 53mm. I use it with a Sirui N-2204x and it fits really well.

Q: 6. Will this work with manfrotto mt055 legs?

A: Yes it will. This will work with legs such as the Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod, B&H # MAMT055XPRO. https://bhpho.to/2gp8yO1

Q: 7. Are VB30 and VB26A for v860iii flash compatible and can you use the charger for VB26a with VB30

A: Although the external battery charger is not provided in the box with Godox V1Pro C Flash for Canon you can use Godox VC26 USB Charger for V1 Battery to charge Godox VB30 Battery for V1Pro Flash Head. You can also use interchange batteries between Godox V1 and V1 pro.

Q: 8. I have read in forums that Manfrotto fluid heads created in the last few years were not designed to be real fluid heads, instead I have been told that they are friction heads. Does the new fluid technology mentioned in the Manfrotto Nitrotech 608 and 612 mean that the heads use actual fluid for smoother panning along with a better counter balance system with the nitrogen piston technology?

A: Yes, this head does have fluid in it. Manfrotto has informed us that this head does use fluid and that the viscosity of the fluid is one of the things they have improved. This leads to it working much better in lower temperatures.

Q: 9. If I use this head with the Benro QR-10 plate, will the safety pins of the plate work properly ?

A: Benro QR-10 is not Arca compatible

Q: 10. Can the quick release be rotated 90 degrees, so one can use this head with an L-bracket (plus lens with no tripod collar)?

A: The QR clamp does not rotate. A QR plate is included for mounting any camera to the head.
