The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a 4-pin Hirose connector for specific* Audio-Technica transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included 1mm Diameter Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How to open the card slot?

A: To open the memory card port on the a7IV, you need to push the switch on the memory cad door down. Page 77 in the manual describes that. The link for that is, https://bhpho.to/3BSa0CT

Q: 2. Looking for the best wide angle for this camera that is full frame? I liked the 10-20mm f/4 lens but it's APS-C and I would also like to throw it on my fx3 or fx6 also.

A: For autofocus lens recommendations, the Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM Lens, B&H # SO1418GM, and the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E, B&H # SI1418SO, would be the widest rectilinear full-frame fixed lens for the Sony Alpha a7 IV Mirrorless Digital Camera. For a zoom lens, the Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM Lens, B&H # SO122428GM, or the Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G Lens, B&H # SO12244G, would be good options. If you do not mind focusing manually, the Venus Optics Laowa 9mm f/5.6 FF RL Lens for Sony E, B&H # VE956FE, would be the widest rectilinear full-frame fixed focal length lens, and the Venus Optics Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 Zoom Lens for Sony E, B&H # VE1018FE, would be the widest full-frame zoom lens for use on the Sony Alpha a7 IV Mirrorless Digital Camera.

Q: 3. Will a cage designed for A7SIII, also fit this new camera?

A: Yes, Camera cages designed for the A7SIII will work on an A7IV.

Q: 4. can you export cf express files directly from the camera?

A: No. All info must be exported via memory card or Tethering system.

Q: 5. The Sony a7iv can NOT do full frame oversampled 4k30p in H.256 according to Sony's website and this B&H product specs page. It can only do oversampled 4k30 in other codecs like h.264 or XAVC S-I. So this camera has no 4k30 in H.265, is that correct? :(

A: 4K60p is only available from a Super 35 recording area. Up to 4K30p is possible using the full-frame area (with full pixel readout and 7K oversampling).

Q: 6. Is the A7 IV sharper than the a7R?

A: Yes, the A7IV benefits from many advancements Sony's achieved over the years, resulting in a sharper image over the original Sony A7R from 2013.

Q: 7. Does this camera fully support autofocus (eye autofocus) for SAL135F18 when used with LA-EA5?

A: Unfortunately, due to the camera not being released yet, we currently have no comprehensive way of testing this. However, based on testing with current models sharing almost the same AF system (namely the Sony A1) with which it works extremely well, (albeit a little noisy) we think this experience will be shared by users with the A7IV.

Q: 8. Remote port? Does it have one vs the a7c dog without?

A: Yes, it has a Multi / Micro USB Terminal.

Q: 9. Does the s and q mode play back in slow mo like on the fx3?

A: Yes. The Sony A7IV (as well as other Sony mirrorless cameras and compacts) plays back videos shot in S&Q mode in slow-motion. Rate of slow-motion shot in S&Q depends on your S&Q settings made via the menu.

Q: 10. Can you use a CF express, Type B card?

A: The Sony A7 IV only accepts CFExpress Type A cards or SD cards.
