The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.
The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.
The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.
A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is beige and features a 1-pin Lemo connector for Sennheiser transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin. For more information on which color earset suits you best, refer to the Countryman support page.
The included 2mm Diameter Duramax Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.
The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.
This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture strong vocals without noise and distortion. The high headroom is well suited for singers and performers in stage and broadcast applications.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can the quick release hold the plate used in Peak Design's Capture? It is an arca style 1.5in/3.8cm square.
A: The Peak Design Capture Camera Quick Release Plate is compatible with the Oben VH-A30 Tilt Head for Monopods.
Q: 2. Has anyone used this head at the maximum weight capacity? I am looking at using it on a slider with my F5 + heavy Canon Cine 17-120 lens. Approx 25-26 pounds. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
A: This is a very high quality video head that will work well at the higher end of the load capacity.
Q: 3. how do I attach and remove the 128RC from the tripod?
A: The Manfrotto 128RC connection to a tripod through a 3/8 connection. You can take this head off and on any tripod with such screw, such as B&H #MAMT290XTA3U.
Q: 4. How well will this head work with Canon R5 and 600mm lens?
A: This tripod head works well with longer lenses such as the canon 600mm. It is a fluid head which helps create smooth motion. it also has drag control to increase/decrease the resistance as you pan and tilt. When using a tripod head like this it is best to make sure the lens/camera is balanced on the head (not too far backwards or forwards) to get optimal performance.
Q: 5. Is the plate a standard Monfrotto and compatible with other Monfrotto video heads?
A: Yes it is. This includes the 504PLONGR Camera Plate which is compatible with most of the other heads like the 502 and 504.
Q: 6. Will a Manfrotto 501 plate fit on this head?
A: This head is not compatible with Manfrotto 501 plates.
Q: 7. I have read in forums that Manfrotto fluid heads created in the last few years were not designed to be real fluid heads, instead I have been told that they are friction heads. Does the new fluid technology mentioned in the Manfrotto Nitrotech 608 and 612 mean that the heads use actual fluid for smoother panning along with a better counter balance system with the nitrogen piston technology?
A: Yes, this head does have fluid in it. Manfrotto has informed us that this head does use fluid and that the viscosity of the fluid is one of the things they have improved. This leads to it working much better in lower temperatures.
Q: 8. does this not come with a quick release plate if no what kind of quick release plate can this use??
A: The 128LP does not have a quick release system, it has a screw that you use to secure the camera directly on to the head. However you could add a quick release system to the top of this unit, such as the Manfrotto 394 Low Profile Quick Release Adapter or Oben QRA-R2.
Q: 9. Can the quick release clamp be rotated 90 degrees?
A: This can only do 180° for Vertical Tilt
Q: 10. Que peso soporta el cabezal?
A: 10 Kg - 22 Lbs
