The light beige Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Low Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm Connector for Amplivox Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm connector for direct connection to Amplivox S-1600T and S-1690T wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. Will L 858D-U work outside US as I would be travelling for work often?

A: Sekonic L-858D-U Speedmaster Light Meter Kit with Transmitter Module for Godox does work outside of the USA.

Q: 2. Is there any chance of a Godox wireless module being or becoming available? Or a work around for the L-858D? I dying to move off my 478DR. Sadly the pull of Godox wins over the pull of yet another Sekonic meter.

A: Sorry, but there are no plans to incorporate Godox transmitter into Sekonic meters at the present time. However there is always a chance another brand could be added as Elinchrom and Phottix were.

Q: 3. Does the Aputure Fresnel 2X shown in the recommended accessories work well with the daylight model, RC 220D?

A: Yes, the Aputure Fresnel 2X Attachment can work with the SmallRig RC 220D Light.

Q: 4. What are the outer dimensions of the case that holds two SmallRig RC 220B lights?

A: Regarding the SmallRig RC 220B Bi-Color LED Monolight (2-Light Kit), the case that holds the two SmallRig RC 220B lights is 19.5 x 10.5 x 9.5".

Q: 5. Is this meter compatible with Profoto D2 Strobes with the pocket wizard III attached to the strobes. The meter will also be equipped with a pocket wizard module transmitter.

A: This meter can trigger any strobe that is equipped with an internal/external Pocket Wizard Transceiver.

Q: 6. am from Asia 7 use PocketWizrd and Elinchrome ; can i also use this L-858D with the Sekonic RT-3PW Transmitter Module (433MHz, CE)?

A: Sekonic L-858D-U Speedmaster Light Meter Kit with Transmitter Module for Elinchrom & Phottix can be used in Asia as long as the triggers are also from the US.

Q: 7. when you have a Godox XPro F TTL trigger on the camera but using the Sekonic to dial in the lights, does the trigger on camera automatically adjust, or reflect your changes you made on the Sekonic? Or do you have to hit some button on the trigger to reset/refresh every time? And if once you're shooting you notice one light needs to be dialed up or down, can you adjust from the trigger on camera and will the Sekonic adjust the value as well? Just wondering so that during a shoot it's not too confusing.

A: I contacted Sekonic regarding your inquiry. According to Sekonic, they state you will need to place the Godox transmitter in App mode. Go to [Menu], shoot and then select [App}. This would put the transmitter into trigger only mode so it will not effect the setting made by the Sekonic meter.

Q: 8. Does this have a t-stop mode? When working with cinema lenses that use t stops instead of f stops, how can I use this light meter?

A: F/stops are arithmetically calculated based on the lenses physical size. The amount of light coming through the lens is therefore theoretical. This means two different lenses at f/5.6 could be passing different amounts of light. In the days of movie making film, this caused a great deal of problems for movie printmaking where the density of the image would vary greatly between shots. This would take extra time, effort and money to get a consistent print. To eliminate this problem, the 20th Century Fox camera department in the 1930's developed the T or Transmission stop. What they did is measure the amount of light coming through the lens and then set that as the T/stop. Since glass absorbs light, there is a light loss compared to f/stops. All this to say, there are no T/stop meters; they are all f/stop. Just read the meter, set that number on the T/stop ring and enjoy a consistent, lens to lens, exposure.

Q: 9. In what increments will this measure lux at all values? Will it measure lux to the 1's place in values above 1000lx? 10's place?

A: The Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D-U Light Meter can read 0.1 to 2,000,000 Lux. And the speed can be set for, 1/64,000 to 30 Minutes (1, 1/2, 1/3-Step Increments), Plus 1/400, 1/200

Q: 10. Does it come with a 7" reflector?

A: Yes, the SmallRig RC 220D Daylight LED Monolight does come with a Hyper Reflector.
