The light beige Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and 2.5mm locking Connector for Comtek Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.
The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.
The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.
For Stage, Theater, and Broadcast TV Fits Comtek Transmitters Headroom for General Speaking Detachable 1mm Diameter Cable Versatile, Flexible Boom Includes Windscreen 2 x Protective Caps Black and White Single Tie Cable Clips Carrying Case

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.
The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.
The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.
The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.
Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.
The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Is there a way to display the continued measurements in the 1-Degree Viewfinder Spot using the L-858D-U-U light meter as Sekonic L-758DR Spot meter does?
A: Yes, you can display continued measurements in the 1-Degree Viewfinder Spot on the Sekonic L-858D-U Speedmaster Light Meter Kit with Transmitter Module for Godox.
Q: 2. I just bought the exposimeter with the godox transmitter, is it possible to change the transmitter later?
A: The transmitter module can be substituted with a different module , usable for other lights , at additional cost
Q: 3. How many lumens of intensity does it have approximately? and also the equivalent to watts, how much would it be?
A: The photometrics are 98,700lux @ 1m with a hyper reflector. It is a 260w draw LED.
Q: 4. Does this have a t-stop mode? When working with cinema lenses that use t stops instead of f stops, how can I use this light meter?
A: F/stops are arithmetically calculated based on the lenses physical size. The amount of light coming through the lens is therefore theoretical. This means two different lenses at f/5.6 could be passing different amounts of light. In the days of movie making film, this caused a great deal of problems for movie printmaking where the density of the image would vary greatly between shots. This would take extra time, effort and money to get a consistent print. To eliminate this problem, the 20th Century Fox camera department in the 1930's developed the T or Transmission stop. What they did is measure the amount of light coming through the lens and then set that as the T/stop. Since glass absorbs light, there is a light loss compared to f/stops. All this to say, there are no T/stop meters; they are all f/stop. Just read the meter, set that number on the T/stop ring and enjoy a consistent, lens to lens, exposure.
Q: 5. Does it come with a 7" reflector?
A: Yes, the SmallRig RC 220D Daylight LED Monolight does come with a Hyper Reflector.
Q: 6. I have an issue with the L-858D-U with Godox transmitter kit. When I switch it on I get an error message, "Radio Transmitter Installed Cannot Be Used In This Meter". I have already sent a copy back for having the same issue. Am I missing an obvious set up step? As it is sold as a kit and the transmitter is already installed in the unit I am surprised that it doesn't work straight out of the box.
A: This is a known issue that will be remedied by updating the firmware.
Q: 7. What is the difference between L 858 d-u and L 858 d?
A: L-858D-U is the US version, the d-u is the international version and the difference would be in the frequency at which they opperate.
Q: 8. when you have a Godox XPro F TTL trigger on the camera but using the Sekonic to dial in the lights, does the trigger on camera automatically adjust, or reflect your changes you made on the Sekonic? Or do you have to hit some button on the trigger to reset/refresh every time? And if once you're shooting you notice one light needs to be dialed up or down, can you adjust from the trigger on camera and will the Sekonic adjust the value as well? Just wondering so that during a shoot it's not too confusing.
A: I contacted Sekonic regarding your inquiry. According to Sekonic, they state you will need to place the Godox transmitter in App mode. Go to [Menu], shoot and then select [App}. This would put the transmitter into trigger only mode so it will not effect the setting made by the Sekonic meter.
Q: 9. Is there any chance of a Godox wireless module being or becoming available? Or a work around for the L-858D? I dying to move off my 478DR. Sadly the pull of Godox wins over the pull of yet another Sekonic meter.
A: Sorry, but there are no plans to incorporate Godox transmitter into Sekonic meters at the present time. However there is always a chance another brand could be added as Elinchrom and Phottix were.
Q: 10. Will L 858D-U work outside US as I would be travelling for work often?
A: Sekonic L-858D-U Speedmaster Light Meter Kit with Transmitter Module for Godox does work outside of the USA.
