The Manfrotto Ezybox II Medium Octa 31.5" Softbox is a lightweight light-shaping tool that adds a flattering, low contrast effect to studio, battery-powered and shoe-mount flashes. The octagonal form factor provides optimal surface area for the unique wrap-around quality of light for which this type of softbox is known. The Ezybox has removable interior and exterior diffusers that can be used in any combination or not at all depending on your subject and desired effect. With both inner baffle and front diffuser in use there is a 2.0 stop reduction in output. Please note that the Ezybox requires separate purchase of a speed ring for use.

A: Well, if this helps for comparison, I use a Nikon SB-700 which, according to Nikon's website, has a guide number of 28m / 92 ft. (at ISO 100, 35mm zoom head position). I use it mostly indoors and have never had to use this flash at full power. Indoors, I have never needed more than 1/2 power in this softbox. I have used it outdoors a handful of times, and in those instances I used TTL to let the camera/flash decide how much power to use.

A: The Ezybox II bracket is great for umbrellas, Apollo SoftBoxes as well as the switchbox for one OR two flashes! It has 2- slide-in cold shoes (or mount one in center) but no 1/4 x 20 male mount. I use an AD-360 that will mount by either a 1/4 x 20 or a cold shoe. If the Q-flash needs the threaded 1/4 mount you'd need that. The flash lays so close to umbrella's center it gives even illumination, and parabolic umbrellas up it 7' (84 - silver with diffuser cap) are light weight, cheap, quick setup, round catch lights and compact (centered on light stand instead of sticking out from it) .. compaired to a large switch box , twice as big equals 4x the softness ! You can stand in front with camera and it'll put fill light around BOTH sides of camera!! I have 2 Ezybox II brackets and plan on getting one more.Alan

A: I believe it will. The Ezybox II Bracket certainly fits my 85cm Ezybox II Octa. I think the bracket will fit all the Ezybox II softboxes, the documentation accompanying the bracket shows how to fit it to the softboxes.

As an alternative, the dedicated Lastolite Ezybox Hot Shoe Mark II Bracket, B&H # LAEBHSBM2, would be the bracket I recommend for use with the Lastolite Ezybox Hot Shoe Softbox Kit. If you wish, you may purchase the Godox bracket to try it, and if it does not fit, you have 30 days to return the item for an exchange or refund.
