The light beige Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and TA4F Connector for Paso Wireless Transmitters is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Paso MW223 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The Phottix Transmitter Module says it works with the Strato 2 & Ares 2 protocols, does this mean it wont work with Odin speedlight receivers and the Indra set to the Odin receiver setting?

A: Yes, it won't.

Q: 2. when you have a Godox XPro F TTL trigger on the camera but using the Sekonic to dial in the lights, does the trigger on camera automatically adjust, or reflect your changes you made on the Sekonic? Or do you have to hit some button on the trigger to reset/refresh every time? And if once you're shooting you notice one light needs to be dialed up or down, can you adjust from the trigger on camera and will the Sekonic adjust the value as well? Just wondering so that during a shoot it's not too confusing.

A: I contacted Sekonic regarding your inquiry. According to Sekonic, they state you will need to place the Godox transmitter in App mode. Go to [Menu], shoot and then select [App}. This would put the transmitter into trigger only mode so it will not effect the setting made by the Sekonic meter.

Q: 3. Which type of batteries can it use?

A: You can use 14.4v or 26v batteries with a Dtap connection and a optional Dtap to XLR cable to power the SmallRig RC 220B Bi-Color LED Monolight BH #SM3473.

Q: 4. Does it come with a 7" reflector?

A: Yes, the SmallRig RC 220D Daylight LED Monolight does come with a Hyper Reflector.

Q: 5. How long does this meter take to boot up? From completely off to completely useable.

A: The start time is about 4 seconds from the time the power button is pressed and held.

Q: 6. I just bought the exposimeter with the godox transmitter, is it possible to change the transmitter later?

A: The transmitter module can be substituted with a different module , usable for other lights , at additional cost

Q: 7. Which one these Sekonic transmitters works with the Interfit S1 flash?

A: If you are asking for a light meter that has a built-in radio transmitter compatible for use with the wireless radio receiver built inside the Interfit S1 light fixture, unfortunately, there is no option designed by Sekonic. The Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D-U Light Meters are built with transmitters for PocketWizard, Godox, Broncolor, Elinchrom, and Phottix wireless radio systems. As they do not manufacture an option for use with Interfit strobes, I would instead recommend purchasing the Sekonic L-858D-U Speedmaster Light Meter Kit with Transmitter Module for PocketWizard, B&H # SEL858DUSMPW, along with a PocketWizard transceiver such as the PocketWizard PlusX Transceiver, B&H # WIPWPX, for your usage needs.

Q: 8. Is there a way to display the continued measurements in the 1-Degree Viewfinder Spot using the L-858D-U-U light meter as Sekonic L-758DR Spot meter does?

A: Yes, you can display continued measurements in the 1-Degree Viewfinder Spot on the Sekonic L-858D-U Speedmaster Light Meter Kit with Transmitter Module for Godox.

Q: 9. The L858 is a complex device offering a wide range of features good for professionals. My question is whether the basic function of metering -- whether in reflective, spot or incident -- is more accurate AND consistent in this model over other less expensive Sekonic meters. Or, are you just paying for all the extra features?

A: The added features would give this meter a higher price point. Whether the added features are something you need depends on how you will use the meter primarily.

Q: 10. This needs 10A at 26V. Can the "CAME-TV 48V Power Station" (BH CA48VPWRSTTN) power it using two "Core SWX APEX 360" batteries?

A: You can use the SmallRig RC 220B Bi-Color LED Monolight with the CAME-TV 48V Power Station with Dual V-Mount Battery Plates. But the batteries need to be 14-16v not 26v with that and should be at least 10A.
