Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Other than for Photo editing, does anyone use this for CAD, such as AutoCad and doing RTRT (Real TIme Ray Tracing)?

A: The EIZO ColorEdge CS2740 26.9" 16:9 Wide Gamut 4K IPS Monitor with EX4 Calibration Sensor is a great option for usage with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Lightroom. Or you can use it with video editing software as well. This monitor has 99% of Adobe RGB built in.

Q: 2. Are normal 58mm Filters usable on this lens? Filters stacking isnt possible I think without vignetting or? I would like to use it with ND filters for landscape.

A: I am using an old Canon 58mm UV-Haze, not the slim type, and found no vignetting on Sony A7R.

Q: 3. I'd like to use this lens for video purposes on a full frame a7s but I'm worried about extremely noticeable vignetting wide open. With the video settings at 24 fps and a shutter speed of 1/40th (or 1/50th), will the image have to much vignette wide open?

A: the original screw mount version has a lot of vignetting. This one has very little. the newer sony mount versions should be even better.

Q: 4. Can it be used with 58-77 step up rings? Planin on using with larger variable NDs to avoid vignette.

A: Yes, the Voigtlander Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5 Aspherical III Lens can be used with 58-77 step up rings.

Q: 5. On Eizo website warranty is 5 years. Is it going to be the same if I buy on BH website?

A: Yes, we are an authorized EIZO reseller. It has a limited manufacturer's 5-year warranty.

Q: 6. besides for custom calibration via i1, does it come with built in color profile of rec709 to edit motion?

A: You would be required to make a preset with your preferred settings using the ColorNavigator 7 Software on the EIZO ColorEdge CS2740 26.9" 16:9 Wide Gamut 4K IPS Monitor.

Q: 7. Will this printer print on 110 lb card stock?

A: Yes, the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-16650 Wide-Format All-in-One Supertank Printer would be able to handle 110lb Card Stock.

Q: 8. Is there any advantage to buy the built-in colorimeter vs using an external one, except for the convenience of regular auto calibrating? Or is it better to spend a bit more on an external one and have more flexibility?

A: When you have the built in colorimeter, you can set specific times for the monitor to calibrate. With an external color calibrator, you will be able to not only calibrate one monitor but multiple monitors.

Q: 9. What is the difference between version III and Ii?

A: Both are leica cl mount. Version 2 is smaller. Version 3 is supposed to be free are color fringing artifacts when USC with digital cameras such as the A7. I am not sure, but for film, version 2 may be just fine.

Q: 10. Both reviews praise the sharpness of this lens but both gave only 4 stars. What are the negatives? Than you !

A: I'd be hard pressed to find negatives...maybe that it's not perfect and 5 is perfect. It has vignetting, it's manual focus, its weighty and has a small maximum aperture. I'm using it on a Sony a7ii and it's a treat. Gorgeous image, beautiful build, nice balance. The aperture ring is smooth and positive. Oh, the fixed hood is slightly awkward.
