Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this tripod be used for a Nikon D5100?

A: Yes, this tripod is capable of holding the D5000 camera with most any lens options you would commonly find with it.

Q: 2. I saw that you recommended the Benro S4 video head. Is it compatible with this tripod?

A: Yes, the Benro S4 video head is compatible with the Oben AC-1441.

Q: 3. Has anyone center mounted a slider on this tripod? How sturdy does it feel?

A: As long as the combined weight of your camera/slider/head combination does not exceed the Oben AC-1441 4-Section Aluminum Tripod's 11 lbs maximum load capacity, the tripod should be sturdy for your needs. I simply recommend ensuring both the legs and head are locked securely, especially if you are using the slider at an angle or orientated vertically. The ability to adjust the legs' angle will be beneficial for this usage, especially if shooting on uneven terrain.

Q: 4. oben 4 sec alum tripod w/ba-111ball head compatible with a Nikon D 3300?

A: Yes. Its very good tripod. I love it. Bring in every trip. For panoramic photos you cant use ball head. Ball head let all directions free if you open it. Its easy to make one adjustment at the time. But you lost the last position of horizontal.

Q: 5. Where is it made?

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is China. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 6. Is this a pan-head or a fluid-head?

A: The head that comes with the Oben AC-1441 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with BA-111 Ball Head isnt a fluid head or a pan/tilt head. The head will be the BA-111 Ball Head.

Q: 7. If I want to replace this ball head with another Oben head, can I? Which Oben heads are compatible with this tripod, all?

A: I am sorry but I do not have the knowledge to answer that question. My camera carries a Macro Zoom 18 - 300 and its weight is significant, and the Monopod and its head has more than the weight capacity for it. Good luck, maybe a professional who knows might be able to answer it in an open forum.

Q: 8. Hello,Is the quick release plate made of metal?

A: Yes it is a fully Aluminum bracket with a nice rubber pad to hold the camera securely. I have several of them and I am really hard on them (outdoor/sports photography). They are very durable. 2 thumbs up!!! Hope this helps you.

Q: 9. Would this tripod be good for panoramic photos? I'm curious since one reviewer said, to pan requires unlocking the ball, which of course means the camera can move in any direction.

A: well as far that goes...yes you can unlock the ball bearing but the issue is the camera is at free range so the maneuverability may cause the image to seem a bit scattered and not constant.

Q: 10. I shoot with a Nikon D 7100 and the heaviest lens I use is the 70-300 zoom. Will this tripod handle this rig or should I look for something with a load weight greater than 11 pounds?

A: I have the same equipment plus I have a camranger, it holds it all nicely.
