The tan Countryman E6X Directional Earset Mic, Low Gain with Detachable 2mm Cable and 3.5mm locking Connector for Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom Portable Recorders is a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i earset that features a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom and is suitable for use when a few people will be using the same mic.

The E6X earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6X earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6X earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom DM-420, DM-520, DM-620, DS-2400, DS-40, DS-51, DS-61, DS-71, LS-10, LS-14, R05, R09HR, PCM-D50, PCM-M10, DR-05, DR-07mkII, DR-08, PR-10, Pocketrak C24, Pocketrak W24, H1, H2, and H2n portable recorders.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6 Flex or E6X offers a versatile blend of the E6 and the E6i. With a springy, thin earpiece and a flexible boom, the E6 Flex is secure on the ear and fast to fit without compromising true invisibility and sound.

The E6X's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6X earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6X earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How's the optical quality compared to Sigma version?

A: The Rokinon 24-70mm f/2.8 AF Zoom Lens for Sony E is very good optically. It is a little behind the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E in terms of sharpness, but it is still very good.

Q: 2. so if i only have 20 faders does this mean i can only mix 20 channels at a time

A: Channels 9-32 are grouped in stereo pairs, so just one fader per pair. You can also set fader groups, so if you're doing a live mix you can have, say, the drum kit mics in a group and then control overall volume with a single fader.

Q: 3. Will this record in 96Khz/24 bits?

A: No. 16 or 24 bit, 44.1 or 48 kHz recording.

Q: 4. How compatible with Mac OS Yosemite is this unit?

A: Very compatible if you stick to the spec's. Mac: OS X 10.6 to 10.10 CPU: Power PC, iMac, G3, G4 266MHz or more Memory: 64 MB or more USB: USB 2.0

Q: 5. Can you adjust the pitch while recording? I want to record a melody on one track, raise its pitch to record a harmony that is too low for me on another track, then lower the pitch on both tracks to the original key.

A: You can't pitch shift on the device itself. However, you could export the tracks to a computer, open the files up in audacity or some DAW and pitch shift it there. You could then import the tracks back in and continue tracking/mixing. That's the only way I can think of that might work while still mostly using the Portastudio.

Q: 6. Does this unit come with a cd burner? Im currently using the tascam dp 008ex which doesnt have a cd burner.

A: There is no CD burner available in the DP-24SD. You are able to record to SD memory card or out via USB to a computer.

Q: 7. Can you monitor the input with the built in reverb added?

A: The unit does not have that ability.Full details on the unit's features and functions are available here:a href= http://tascam.com/product/dp-03sd/ target= _blank http://tascam.com/product/dp-03sd//aAn Owner's Manual is available from the DOWNLOADS tab.Thank you for your interest in TASCAM products.'

Q: 8. Is this lens parfocal?

A: Auto focus zoom lenses are not parfocal. Well adjusted ones can act parfocal. This one may or not exhibit such quality. For true parfocal you need cinema zoom lenses.

Q: 9. What Lenses does this remote work with on Sony FS7?

A: The Sony PZ (power zoom) lenses will work.

Q: 10. Compatibility with JVC GY-HM170 4KCAM?

A: Yes, it will work with the JVC GY-HM170.
